Abstract: The disclosure relates to golf balls and more particularly, to golf ball cover compositions. The disclosure is concerned primarily with composition and method for the enhancement of the color of a golf ball cover by the use of an optical brightener in conjunction with a pigmented golf ball cover composition. This invention is concerned with the enhancement of the color of white golf ball covers. When used in conjunction with a white pigmentation system, the optical brighteners in question enhance the color in the blue spectrum range in order to give the cover a whiter appearance.
Abstract: Disclosed is a two-piece golf ball and methods for its production. The ball comprises a core having a central portion of a cross-linked, hard, resilient material and having a soft, deformable outer layer. Balls comprising the novel cores and a conventional cover material having playability properties approaching or exceeding thread-wound balata covered balls. The core is preferably manufactured by surface treating a slug of a suitable, curable elastomer composition with a cure altering agent, and molding the slug under conditions to produce a spherical core having a hardness gradient in its surface layers.
Abstract: This invention relates to connector systems for portable display devices. The connectors of this invention allow adjoining panels of the display device to be joined to each other and be moved in pivotal relationship with each other. The connector consists of a male member which is secured to a channel which is an integral part of the display device and a connector plate which joins two or more channels together. When the channels are joined using the connector of this invention, the channels and their associated display panels may be pivotally disposed in relationship to each other.
Abstract: A collapsible stroller wherein the seat support frame, front frame, rear frame and handle are pivotally mounted together. A releasable locking device is provided for interconnecting all of the frame parts. A release bar is located near the bight of the handle for a one-handed release operation of the locking means. When folded, the release bar cooperates with the bight of the lower front frame through an aperture in a foot rest so as to form a composite carrying means whereby the folded stroller may be carried. The subject stroller further incorporates a two-piece rigid baby support assembly.
Abstract: An automobile booster seat for a child having a unitary seat portion and upwardly extending sidewalls and a tubular frame terminating above each of the sidewalls. Mating shields are slidably and rotatably mounted on the terminal ends of the frame above the sidewalls and are rotatable between a mating position in front of the occupant and a raised position above each of the sidewalls so as to facilitate placement and removal of the occupant. The shields are slidable between two positions so as to accommodate occupants of varying sizes. The shields are configured so as to provide an outer channel for accepting an automobile seat belt so as to maintain the seat firmly against the automobile seat when the seat belt is secured.
Abstract: A child's booster seat having two bases pivotally joined together with each base having seat indentations on opposite sides thereof, the depth of each seat being different from the depth of each of the other seats, whereby the seat provides selectively different heights for the occupant. A strap and buckle may be provided for securing said seat to an adult chair. A waist strap may also be provided for securing the child to the booster seat.
