  • Patent number: 5845916
Abstract: A handle for an infant stroller includes a pair of substantially parallel opposed arms connected with the frame of the stroller and extending upwardly therefrom. A gripping section interconnects the upper ends of the arms. The gripping section includes a center leg arranged in a longitudinal vertical plane, preferably aligned with the centerline of the stroller. The gripping section preferably has a Z-shaped configuration with opposite outer legs extending from said center leg and connected with said other ends of said arms. The gripping section is titled forward relative to a lateral vertical plane.

  • Patent number: 5833554
Abstract: A golf ball having an outside diameter of substantially 1.70 to 1.80 inches and a weight no grater than 1.62 ounces. The ball includes a spherical core, a mantel surrounding the core; and an outer cover surrounding the core and the mantle. The mantle and outer cover each have a different Shore D hardness. The ball has a dimple pattern covering at least 70% of the surface of the ball.

  • Patent number: 5827131
Abstract: Golf club heads, both woods and irons, have recessed areas in the striking faces of the club heads with an insert secured therein. The insert is of a laminated structure having multiple layers and so constructed that the outer layers are of a substantially high strength to weight material and the center layers are of a relatively lower weight material. This structure allows the insert to be reduced in weight so as to allow the weight difference to be repositioned about the perimeter of the club head to achieve optimum weight distribution.

  • Patent number: 5827548
Abstract: An improved golf ball injection mold is characterized by upper and lower support plates each containing corresponding hemispherical cavities which define spherical mold cavities when the plates are brought together. A plurality of retractable core pins are arranged in each cavity for supporting a core of a golf ball. A runner within the plates delivers fluid thermoplastic material to each cavity to form a cover on the golf ball core supported therein, and a cooling channel is provided adjacent to each cavity to provide even cooling of the thermoplastic material. Independently operated ejection assemblies are provided for the golf ball and for the residual thermoplastic material in the runner. With the improved ejection mold, the size and roundness of the golf ball and the surface configuration of the golf ball cover are more consistent and the molding time is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5800284
Abstract: A golf ball comprising a molded core and a cover about the core. The core and cover have a combined weight of between 47 grams and 53 grams, a coefficient of restitution of at least substantially 0.800, and a Riehle compression between 0.037 inch and 0.045 inch.. The outside diameter of the ball is at least substantially 1.62 inches and less than 1.68 inches. The cover has a Shore D hardness of substantially 69.

  • Patent number: 5785609
Abstract: A metalwood golf club head including upper and lower surfaces, a front ball striking face and a curved rear surface is characterized by a concave projection in the lower surface extending from the face toward the rear surface. The depth of the concavity in the projection is governed by the loft of the club face, with the depth being greater for higher lofted clubs. The concave projection enables the club head to strike to golf ball resting on the ground, and particularly in a poor lie such as in a bunker or deep rough, without the head becoming buried in the ground.

  • Patent number: 5735756
Abstract: A golf ball having an octahedral pattern about its surface with four identical quadrants in each hemisphere. Each quadrant includes a circular area which fills the quadrant as completely as possible without crossing the quadrant boundaries. A dimple is located at each pole. Each circular area is substantially filled with dimples and the remaining interstitial areas between the circular areas and the poles are substantially filled with dimples while leaving a dimple free equatorial line.
