The cushion comprises a plurality of elongated tubular structures each having a longitudinal axis, the tubular structures being arranged in an array such that adjacent structures contact each other with their respective axes generally parallel and preferably in generally a common plane. The interior of each structure is open to the atmosphere and each structure is resilent in nature and has an upwardly extending rounded surface. The upper portions of the tubular structures together define a generally horizontal and planar sleeping surface. The cushion further includes confining means for maintaining the tubular structures in the arranged manner.

Abstract: Apparatus for treating living wastewater which purifies water to be treated such as living miscellaneous wastewater in general homes, human waste, urban drains and the like to evaporate and emanate the treated water into the atmosphere.The apparatus comprises a treating vessel for treating wastewater which is water to be treated, a sludge separating sediment layer filled into said treating vessel, a wastewater introducing pipe for introducing wastewater into said treating vessel, and a capillary suction type evaporation and emanation unit for evaporating and emanating the treated water into the atmosphere.

Abstract: A disposable capsule filter extremely suited for filtering paints, inks and the like which contain an organic solvent. The filter comprises a disposable capsule accommodating filter elements and a metal holder accommodating the capsule for the purpose of preventing rupture of the capsule. The capsule is formed from a plastic material by blow molding or pressure forming. The capsule has an outwardly projecting portion in contact with a clamped portion of the metal holder.

Abstract: An installation for processing foods such as fresh fruits and sea foods in a sterilized condition for subsequent freezing and storage operation is disclosed.The present invention is characterized by that said installation comprises a tunnel shaped sterilized chamber, a number of glove pairs provided on so many openings on the both lateral sides of the sterilized chamber, a partition wall formed at the inlet of sterilized chamber and a solution circulator channel for circulation of washing and sterilizing solution which conveys fresh foods such as fruits and sea foods from outside into the sterilized chamber while washing and sterilizing them.

Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide a manufacturing method and apparatus for ice-cream products which enable a consumer to select and nominate the material and to be supplied and ice-cream in accordance with his preference from those selected material. According to the present invention, the method comprises preparing a mixture of the material bulk of ice-cream selected by an individual in accordance with his preference, filling into a container thereof by means of applying thereto a liquid nitrogen or a liquid nitrogen based gas while said bulk is agitated.

Abstract: A bed pad, an automobile seat pad, a pillow or a similar cushionlike item having therapeutic effects similar to those of finger pressure therapy, a good airing function and an improved adaptability to the head or waist of the user is provided. A cushionlike item according to the present invention has a series of continuously arranged bag portions containing a large number of stuffing elements of synthetic resin. The pad has on its front surface a plurality of projections that can apply pressure or spot therapy to a user's body. The projections are secured to the pad by strings arranged zig-zag between the front and back surfaces of the pad. Upon pulling of the strings, the cushion can be tightened, causing the projections to stand firmly on the front surface.

Abstract: A method of safely treating medical wastes such as syringe needles, absorbent tissue and bandages, wherein all the steps of treatment from throwing medical wastes into the container to the final disposal are identified by the appearance of the container. There is also provided a disposable container that can be safely used with the method. A container according to the invention comprises a lid section provided with a certain amount of elastic filler material between an inner lid and a top lid, a pair of input ports provided on the lid section for throwing medical wastes therethrough and a pair of semi-circular rotary lids for opening and closing the input ports, wherein the input ports are provided with a larger opening and a smaller opening which is in communication with the larger opening and so dimensioned to come into engagement with the tip of a syringe so that the needle is removed from the syringe by pulling up the latter from the opening.

The gas filter comprises a ceramic honeycomb structural body with numerous gas flow holes and a fine ceramic film coated onto the inner surfaces of the gas flow holes.
