Abstract: The present invention is directed to a safety release break-away buckle designed for but not limited to pet collars and large animal halters, to separate at a predetermined magnitude of tension based upon a fraction of the animal's weight or strength, should the animal's collar or halter become entangled on a protrusion as to endanger the animal's health of life, as by strangulation, injury or entrapment. The release is obtained by pulling a lug through a restrictive pair of jaws. The safety release break-away buckle can also be the primary coupling device in a collar or halter.
Abstract: A dry composition containing large numbers of beneficial bacteria and enzymes for the digestion of poultry manure is used to treat poultry litter. The growth of the beneficial bacteria, activated by moisture in poultry droppings prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter by competitive exclusion.
Abstract: A metal socket in a reciprocating foot mates with a ball on the lower end of a heddle frame driving rod of a conventional NISSAN water jet loom. Water causes corrosion in the ball and socket joint resulting in down time of the water jet loom. The replacement of the metal ball and socket joint with a joint comprising a plastic bearing and a dowel pin reduces the down time of the loom caused by the corrosion of the ball and socket joint.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a magneto having two sets of primary windings and no secondary windings which will allow the magneto to function as an ignition source even though one set of primary windings fail. Each primary winding provides current to an independent set of points, condensers, high voltage transformers, and then to a common distributor. The magneto will also continue to function even though one set of points, one condenser, one high voltage transformer or one secondary winding fails. The primary windings are formed, by winding two wires joined by insulation onto a common laminated core.
Abstract: This invention is directed to a door latch having an auxiliary bolt which activates the latch bolt, and the use of a latch to confine small children in the home. The auxiliary bolt has a hinged beveled end which pivots when the door is opened but is fixed when the door is closed to activate the latch. The latch is placed five feet above the floor to prevent a small child from opening the door. The latch has a guard plate below the door handle to prevent a small child from opening the latch with a stick. The latch can be mounted on any side of any door.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a fore-arm assistant device. The device has a frame which encircles at least part of a forearm of a user. A tubular locking member is positioned on the other end of the frame. Various tools, a crutch leg or a kayak paddle can be held in the device.

Abstract: A break-away clip in dog collar allows the dog to break free if the collar is caught on a protrusion or if another dog bites and twists the collar. The break away clip separates into two halves. One half contains two resilient posts and a resilient hook. The posts are separated from the hook by the width of a rod. The second half of the clip contains a rod which is forced between the two resilient posts and the resilient hook. Tension or twisting force on the collar, which is transmitted to the clip, causes the clip to open and free the dog from its collar so the dog can escape.
Abstract: The invention provides alternative flight control methods and structures which can prevent a crash of a passenger or a cargo aircraft under stall/spin and adverse flight conditions, failing Conventional ?aerodynamic! Flight Control ?CFC!, low landing speeds, asymmetric icing and partial loss of propulsion. That air-safety capability is provided by integrating roll-yaw-pitch engine-nozzle-nacelle thrust vectoring flight control ?TVFC! retractable/rotatable vane-doors, collectively operated in individual TVFC-sectors, with modified ?conventional! thrust-reversing ?TR! door-structures ?in one method!, or with novel retractable/rotatable TR vane-door sectorial structures ?a second method! to form various TVFC/CFC/TR systems. The methods and structures are intended for transport jets, except one configuration which is intended for turbo-prop transports. Another configuration replaces heavy and complex conventional TR doors and TR-nacelle-grids with an integrated, simpler and lighter TVFC/CFC/TR-systems.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an articulated clamp for maintaining a distributor housing in a fixed rotational position on an engine block. The one piece articulated clamp allows the distributor to be removed and replaced very fast while maintaining the correct engine timing. The articulation allows for variations in engine block mounting surfaces without the need to reposition the articulated mounting clamp on the distributor shaft housing.
Abstract: An door for an overhead rack of a luggage compartment of a bus is hinged on a bracket which extends downwardly from the ceiling of the bus. When the door is opened it rolls around the pivot away from the aisle and into the luggage compartment. The door is held in the open position by a compression spring until closed and latched. The door-hinge combination is particularly suited for retrofitting old busses which were constructed with open luggage racks. The old busses were unsafe because items in the storage racks could fall on passengers in case of accident or emergency movement of the bus.
Abstract: A support frame is positioned over a hospital bed to assist in lifting and turning a patient on a sheet. In addition to the lifting mechanism, the frame has a carriage mechanism which can carry a lifted patient beyond the side or the end of the bed. The patient can also be lifted from the bed, the frame narrowed, and the patient transported to other locations in the hospital and then back to the bed without any severe physical handling. A bath water and waste water cart is used to bath a patient and to catch waste water. A drain pan is placed under the patient to catch bath water and return the water to a drain water tank on the cart.
Abstract: A tool has a handle designed to be firmly held in one hand and a shaft having a tubular opening at the unattached end. The tool is used to attach fence wire to fence posts using a wire clip. The clip is hooked to a fence wire on one side of a post, the clip is then brought around the post and under the fence wire, the wire end protruding upward. The upwardly protruding wire end is then inserted into the tubular opening of the tool and wrapped around the fence wire. The procedure is repeated for the second wire end of the clip wire to firmly attach the fence wire to the fence post.
Abstract: A limited amount of grey water is collected in a storage tank for use in flushing toilets. During use, the grey water in the storage tank is stirred to discharge small particulate solids with the grey water supplied to a toilet. The stirring also prevents the grey water from stratifying and preventing disinfectant from reaching stratified grey water which in the absence of disinfectant and stirring could become stagnant. The stirring action of the grey water also makes the system self cleaning.
Abstract: A double cross counterflow heat exchanger of the continuous plate type is formed of a continuous sheet of heat conductive material folded upon itself on fold regions in opposite directions alternately to define a plurality of substantially parallel, mutually spaced sheet portion, substantially each sheet portion thereby being located between first and second adjacent sheet portions with the fold regions being located at the lengthwise ends of each sheet. Each sheet portion has a pair of edge sections perpendicular to the fold which joins two sheets, the portions of which edge sections, of the two sheets, most distant from the joining fold are sealed together to define a fluid flow channel, each of the channels having first and second fluid transmitting openings located at the sides of each channel, and a third fluid transmitting opening located at the end of each channel opposed to the fold sealing the opposite end of each channel.
