Abstract: An urn display device for commemorating and honoring a deceased individual. The device features an urn body formed of substantially transparent material. Cavities forming indicia viewable through the urn body are formed and can include one or a combination of an image, text, or a facial depiction of the deceased, or combination thereof, as a means to employ customized indicia on the urn body to honor said deceased. The media to enhance viewing ability of the indicia includes or is supplemented by the deceased's ashes.
Abstract: A lifting system for shelves and store gondolas which provides for a gripping engagement of the upright posts of the frame of the shelving which supports the load on engaged shelves and products. The device features a dolly and extending members having an opening on distal ends to grip the post. Tapers on the members provide for deflection of any kickplates present. The dollies may be employed in a plurality around the shelf and engaged with connector bars between them for a unified movement of the dollies elevating the shelf.
Abstract: A skateboard deck formed of laminated layers having increased twisting resistance around its center axis provided by fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite members running along the center axis and cross members extending toward side edges. Side members positioned between pairs of cross members provide additional torque resistance and energy storage for use in springing the board.
Abstract: A bicycle frame for employment in a bicycle for riding by a user in a substantially vertical as-used position. The frame has a shape which defines an aperture within the interior surface of a surrounding frame. The frame is preferably formed of planar material which has ends which do not block the view into the aperture when the bicycle is ridden. Whereby space for indicia on an inserted vertically disposed planar member is maximized. The planar member has a perimeter defining a shape that is complimentary to the shape of the aperture and when engaged therein provides support to the frame to prevent deformation thereof when in the as-used position under a load. The indicia positioned on the planar member may be advertising which can easily be changed using removable planar members with different indicia.
Abstract: An intra scleral implant and method of implantation for use in the treatment of intraocular pressure and presbyopia. The implant features a body portion and protrusions from the body portion to anchor the device in a cavity formed in the scleral wall of the eye. Optionally a drug delivery function is provided to allow long term communication of drugs to tissue surrounding the implant.
Abstract: A device to provide a bypass for fish from an upstream reservoir behind a dam, to a lower elevation downstream reservoir. The device employs a flow separation apparatus for separating aquatic life entering the device and communicated to the downstream reservoir, from a portion of fluid flow communicated to the dam intake. The moving fluid within the device creates turbulence to provide a cushioning effect to protect the fish from impacts, while directing water streams to urge fish to an upper portion of the device distant from the water being communicated to the dam in the lower portion.
Abstract: A support for the head of a patient lying in a generally prone position. The support features a tray adapted for support on an underlying operating table surface. A plurality of pins projecting from an engagement with the tray are positioned to engage and suspend either a cushion directly or a cushion engaged in a casing. The pins may be adjusted to raise or lower the engaged cushion or casing. A mirror is also provided to provide a reflective view a patient's eyes through slots in the cushion and casing engaged over a patient's face. A video camera may also concurrently be employed to capture electronic images of the patient's eyes and mouth through an aperture in the mirror.

Abstract: An energy saving apparatus adapted for insertion between the center conductor of a lightbulb, and the center electrical contact of a light bulb socket. The device features an electrical component for varying or decreasing the amount of electrical current reaching the light bulb. The electrical component is situated in a central aperture of a collar and is surrounded by the collar which centers it in position within the light socket between the center conductor and the electrical contact of the socket. The collar has an exterior circumference which may be varied to adapt it to fit within a plurality of different sized light bulb sockets.
Abstract: A multi purpose golf tool adapted for repair for pitch mark type depressions in turf of a golf course. The tool employs an angled engagement of a handle and forks to a body to obtain mechanical advantage for forcing turf upward to repair turf depressions. A bottle opener and pop top opener are also provided. The device is also adapted to hold a cigar and to maintain a club shaft in an elevated position above the turf using an arched engagement of a handle end.
Abstract: A device and method for imaging dual sided documents for authentification of the document. A document such as a driver's license traverses a linear flowpath into and out of a housing having a darkened interior. The document is segmentally imaged under a plurality of different light spectrums during travel along the flowpath. A data processor and software engaged to an imager capturing the segmented images assembles complete images of the document under one or a plurality of the light spectrums employed to yield a viewable rendition of both sides of the document to ascertain the presence of proper indica to validate the document. Also provided are a magnetic strip reader and bar code reader engaged to the data processor wherein data may be extracted therefrom for comparison to the images reviewed.
Abstract: A door latch assembly for engagement in a mounted position to a side edge of a door. The device features an angled or biased latch member which employs a hooked end to engage the door stop molding of a doorjamb to secure the door in a slightly open position. The latch member is engaged to a side edge of the door using frictional engagement or mechanical engagement. The latch member is releasable from either side of the door without placing a user's fingers in between the door and jamb.
Abstract: An implantable drain for the anterior chamber of the eye for venting fluid therefrom to relieve pressure. The device features a serpentine draining conduit having an aggregate length much longer than a liner conduit. The conduit is engaged within the sclera in a pocket formed under a scleral flap. The conduits may be interchanged with a shunt or other component communicating into the anterior chamber.
Abstract: A surgical instrument featuring a combination cauterizing and surgical capture component. The instrument is deployable from a distal end of a lumen to a first position partially exposing a cauterizing loop and restrained radially deployable members wherein a plurality of cauterizations may be performed. The instrument is deployable to a second position fully translated from the lumen wherein the plurality of radially positionable members may be released by activation of a release member to allow the biased members to deploy radially around an axis running through the loop.
Abstract: An antenna and method of forming an antenna from first and second planar substrates having antenna elements engaged thereto adapted to transmit and/or receive a desired RF frequency. Notches in some of the substrates engage traversing substrates to form an array with horizontally and vertically disposed antenna elements all in an electrical communication with electrical pathways on the rear surface of one or both of the first and second planar surfaces.
Abstract: A remote controlled valve for cessation of water flow from an outflow component such as a showerhead or faucet during periods where water flow is not required by the user to provide for water conservation. The device features a remote control having a large contact area for contact with the user's arm or leg or hip to allow for activation without the use of their hands and fingers. The large size also renders the remote control unit easily located by sense of touch and without the user's eyesight to encourage use by users who might otherwise be concerned about reinitiating water flow during shampooing or while using the device on a sink with their hands wet or occupied.
Abstract: A drilling rig control system adapted for easy interface between a compressed air supply and a drilling rig clutch and brake. Both manual and automatic controls are provided to initiate the device to interrupt and vent the compressed air supply to the clutch and concurrently communicate compressed air to the brake to cause it to engage the drum winding the cable for the rig. Over-pull sensors monitor cable tension and initiate valves in the control system to initiate the compressed air interruption and rerouting upon any sense of over-pull.

Abstract: A stent graft for animal or human implantation and method of delivery thereof. The device stent graft employs a first component having an axial passage communicating with the axial cavities of a cuff and longer first leg. A separate leg extension is engageable to an aperture in the distal end of the cuff. A first catheter engages the first component for translation to the implantation site along a first guide wire. A guide member communicating through the first component and extending from the distal end of a second catheter and adapted for slidable contact along the first guide wire when pushed by a translatable core shaft extending from the first catheter, or by the second catheter, is provided as a pre-positioned guide for subsequent engagement of the leg extension to the aperture in the distal end of the cuff.
Abstract: A golf putter providing a center mount of the hosel to the club head and a shaft engagement to the hosel at the heel end of the club head. The center mount provides the sole engagement of the hosel to the head as a gap is formed by a pathway formed through the body of the head which is larger than the circumference of the hosel in its communication therethrough. The centered engagement provides better touch to the user and feedback on striking a ball while concurrently removing the shaft from the user's line of sight to the ball and club face and reduces the twist or torque at impact with a golf ball, thereby increasing the moment of inertia.
