Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer code for (i) performance-monitoring a multi-tier application including a .NET tier and a database tier; and (ii) for visually presenting performance-data to a user are disclosed. In some embodiments, a multi-tiered performance data interface, for example, including a .NET tier performance data interface and a database tier performance data interface operatively coupled to the .NET tier performance data interface, is provided. In some embodiments, the .NET tier performance data interface is configured to present .NET stack data and the database performance data interface is configured to present internal database performance data, for example, wait times (e.g. relative magnitudes of different types of wait times). Techniques for matching .NET-tier requests to execute SQL statements with database-tier executions of SQL statements are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of forming a fat product, the method entailing heating a first material to a first temperature to form a first intermediate, the first material comprising fat and the first temperature adequate to remove any memory of crystallization from the fat; rapidly cooling the first intermediate to a second temperature to form a second intermediate, the second temperature adequate to provide nascent seed crystals in the second intermediate; and quiescently cooling the second intermediate to form the fat product, the quiescent cooling adequate to support growth of macro-crystals about the nascent seed crystals.
Abstract: Closed-loop duty-cycle correctors (DCCs), clock generators, memory devices, systems, and methods for generating an output clock signal having a particular duty cycle are provided, such as clock generators configured to generate an output clock signal synchronized with a received input clock signal having a predetermined duty cycle. Embodiments of clock generators include closed-loop duty cycle correctors that receive an already-controlled and corrected output signal. For example, DLL control circuitry and DCC control circuitry may each adjust a delay of a variable delay line. The DLL control circuitry adjusts the delay such that an output clock signal is synchronized with an input clock signal. The DCC control circuitry detects a duty cycle error in the output clock signal and adjusts the delay of the variable delay line to achieve a duty cycle corrected output signal.
Abstract: An exercise device providing a fore and aft horizontal component of striding motion that is dynamically user-defined, while providing a vertical component of the motion that is maintained on a predetermined vertically reciprocating path in some embodiments. The exercise device guides the user's foot in a pseudo-elliptical stride path, while providing a dynamically variable stride length that allows the user to move with a natural stride length. The exercise device allows tall and short users to extend or curtail the stride length to match their natural stride lengths. The length of the reciprocating path is dynamically adjusted during the exercise operation without equipment adjustments by changes in the length of the stride input by the user at a pair of foot engagement pads disposed on laterally spaced apart foot support members.
Abstract: A system for conveying sheets of corrugated paperboard material or other materials. The system includes a processing module configured for transferring the material in a conveying direction, the processing module having a first nip point. A conveyor is positioned downstream of the processing module and also configured for transferring the material in the conveying direction. The conveyor includes a first support roller and second support roller having a first conveyor belt wound therearound, with the belt defining a deflector section extending from the first support roller to the second support roller. Similar to the processing module, the conveyor includes a second nip point. An adjustment drive can be operatively associated with either or both of the first and second support rollers and configured to adjust the position of the second nip point in or counter to the delivery direction.
Abstract: A goggle is disclosed having a frame with upper and lower frame portions with the upper frame portion being substantially more rigid than the lower frame portion. A fastener secures the upper perimeter of a lens to the upper frame portion. The lower portion includes slots receiving tabs extending from opposing sides of a notch in the lens for receiving the wearer's nose. The fastener includes an elongate member insertable within a slot formed in the lens and rotatable to a crosswise position hindering removal of the elongate member from the slot.
Abstract: In graphics applications, objects including rotating objects having geometric detail or surface relief are rendered in render targets where pixels are assigned color and depth values by color and depth buffers. A pixel shader performs ray intersection calculations on a primitive approximating the object in the render target to generate three-dimensional world space positions for the pixels. Samples for each pixel are taken around a primitive's axis of rotation, and for each sample, the object in the render target is queried to gather color and depth data for the pixel. The query results are composited and a blurred object is provided in a scene at a desired location and at a depth according to depth data retrieved from the depth buffer.
Abstract: A system to authorize access to secured data storage can comprise a user interface configured to receive a user code offline from a user to allow access to stored data, circuitry configured to authorize access to the stored data based, at least in part, on the user code and provide access to the stored data, and a storage system configured to store the stored data.
Abstract: Examples of touch screen interfaces with pulse oximetry are generally described, along with examples of methods of determining pulse rate, blood oxygen level, or both, with a touch screen interface.
Abstract: A tool for use on a generally tubular workpiece includes a clamp base having an opening, a first jaw coupled to the clamp base with a first linkage and a second jaw coupled to the clamp base with a second linkage, a translation mechanism disposed on or within the clamp base operatively coupled to the first and second jaws via one or more adjusting links, whereby the first and second jaws are adapted to move, under a force communicated by the adjusting links and the linkages, within the opening between an open position in which the respective bottom ends of the first and second jaws are spaced apart to a closed position in which the respective bottom ends of the first and second jaws are abutting.
Abstract: An exposure pattern is written on a substrate, by scanning a light spot along a trajectory over the substrate and switching it on and off according to a desired pattern. Respective spot sizes of the light for illuminating the substrate in respective parts of the trajectory according to a geometry of the pattern. Respective pitch values between successive ones of the parts of the trajectory are selected, in relation to the spot size selected for the respective parts. The light spot is scanned over the substrate along the trajectory, with the selected pitch values between the trajectory parts and a position dependent spot size along the trajectory. In an embodiment a helical trajectory is used.
