Abstract: According to various embodiments, an exemplary locking mechanism for a USB connector comprises a hook, a hook bracket at least partially inserted within the hook to form a first assembly, a holder, the holder enclosing at least a portion of the first assembly to form a second assembly, and a button, the button enclosing at least a portion of the second assembly to form the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may further comprise a spring fitted around a protruding portion of the hook bracket, the protruding portion extending outward from the first assembly. The locking mechanism may further comprise one or more screws attaching the first assembly to the holder to form the second assembly. The locking mechanism may include a cap enclosing at least a portion of the button to form a locking cap.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for synthesizing 1-(acyloxy)-alkyl derivatives from 1-acyl-alkyl derivatives, which typically proceeds stereospecifically, in high yield, does not require the use of activated intermediates and/or toxic compounds and is readily amendable to scale-up. The current invention also provides 1-acyl-alkyl derivatives of known drug components and methods for synthesizing these 1-acyl-alkyl derivatives.

Abstract: A system for displaying multiple colors individually or in combination with one another. The system may emit red, green and blue light from light emitting diodes and may additionally provide white light to brighten the color provided by the red, green and blue light emitting diodes. The white light source may also be used to increase the power efficiency of the system, thus increasing the lifetime of the system for displaying multiple colors. The white light source may be used to backlight the color provided by the red, green and blue light emitted by the light emitting diodes, or may also be used as an additional light source to the light provided by the red, green and blue light emitting diodes.

The checkpoint memory may be coupled to the processor through a peripheral bus or a memory bus. The checkpoint memory may be located on a same semiconductor substrate or circuit board as the processor. The checkpoint memory may be located on a same semiconductor substrate as a main memory used by the processor during normal operation. The checkpoint memory may be included in a memory hub configuration, with a checkpoint memory hub provided for access to the checkpoint memory.

Abstract: Methods, computer-accessible medium, and systems for generating a genome wide probe map and/or a genome wide haplotype sequence are provided. In particular, a genome wide probe map can be generated by obtaining a plurality of detectable oligonucleotide probes hybridized to at least one double stranded nucleic acid molecule cleaved with at least one restriction enzyme, and detecting the location of the detectable oligonucleotide probes.

Abstract: A pool filter for use in pool piping or other fluid conveyance system. The pool filter may include a housing defining a fluid chamber for receiving one or more filters. Multiple openings may be defined in the housing for receiving and removing fluid from the fluid chamber. The openings may be approximately the same size and may be located on the housing at similar elevations and/or radial sectors. One or more footings may be joined to the housing. Each footing may include a base portion for receiving anchor members to anchor the housing to a support surface. The footings may be designed to transfer to the support surface predetermined lateral or other forces imposed upon the pool filter by events such as earthquakes and hurricanes. The footings may be separate components joined to the housing by tabs and/or mechanical fasteners.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods and systems for limiting bipolar current flow in a switching amplifier. Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a multi-referenced switching amplifier. In some embodiment, the switching amplifier is a dual referenced switching amplifier comprising a regulator between the two references, where the first reference provides coarse modulation to a load and the second reference provides fine modulation to the load. The dual referenced switching amplifiers comprise the output filters made up of an inductor and a capacitor. In some embodiments, fine modulation is not applied to the load, thus limiting bipolar current flow induced by the filter inductors.

Abstract: According to the disclosure, a unique and novel archiving system that provides one or more application layer partitions to archive data is disclosed. Embodiments include an active archive including a fixed storage. The active archive can create application layer partitions that associate the application layer partitions with portions of the fixed storage. Each application layer partition, in embodiments, has a separate set of controls that allow for customized storage of different data within a single archiving system. Further, embodiments of methods for ensuring storage capacity in the active archive and the application layer partitions within the active archive is also disclosed.

Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, output slew rate control. Methods and structures are described to provide slew rate control of an output driver circuit such as a DRAM output driver on a die. A selectable combination of series coupled transistors are configured as a parallel array of complementary inverter pairs to provide a divided voltage to a calibrator. The calibrator is configured to respond to a differential voltage to adjust the divided voltage such that the differential voltage is forced to zero. The calibrator outputs a plurality of discrete signals from an up/down counter to switch on and off the individual transistors of the parallel array to increase and decrease a collective current. In some embodiments, transistor channel currents are modulated to step-adjust a voltage based on a ratio associated with a static resistance. In various embodiments, the divided voltage is an analog voltage based on a resistance associated with trim circuitry.

Abstract: Hybrid frequency compensation is provided. Hybrid circuits are used to subtract the transmit signal from the receive signal in a full duplex communication system. Since the hybrid circuit and the main line driver are exposed to different loads, accurate subtraction is difficult to achieve. A frequency dependent network is used to match the loading seen by the driver and the hybrid. The compensation network can be based on active and/or passive components.

Abstract: Output of a showerhead system is selectable between a plurality of spray modes using a control mode selector located adjacent to a shower pipe. The showerhead system also includes an adjustment mechanism located near or about the shower pipe to pivotably adjust the position of the showerhead. The showerhead system also has dual support structures in the form of arms extending between the control mode selector and the showerhead. The dual arms each house one or more hoses that may be flexible and transport water from the mode selector can be adjusted to direct water to individual hoses or simultaneously to multiple hoses.

An example computing system is disclosed having a multicore processor with a plurality of processor cores. At least one cache may be accessible to at least two of the plurality of processor cores. A compiler determined map may separately allocate a memory space to threads of execution processed by the processor cores.
