Abstract: A light pipe device for fish sonar that displays information such as depth and density of detected objects. The device includes a motor with a rotary shaft, a shaft position sensor, a light conducting pipe fixed to the rotary shaft opposite the luminous tip of the pipe, a light source, and a front panel. Using this device, when a controller detects an object the controller causes the light source to turn on and off as the luminous tip revolves beneath the front panel. Light is transferred to the tip and front panel to indicate information regarding the object.
Abstract: A putting accuracy training aid providing an elongated, flat rolling surface and a non-slip base. A recessed tee supports a ball forward of an adjustable stroke gauge and elastomer limit stop. Inclined surfaces, projections and/or grooves provided adjacent the tee facilitate re-teeing without stooping. Jointed multi-section constructions are also disclosed having a sectional body and/or wing attachments.
Abstract: A multi-section manifold system containing a number of replaceable filter and purification cartridges for treating the water supply of medical and dental facilities. The system operates to introduce increased concentrations of a preferred bactericide to the water immediately adjacent patient dispensing appliances. Control valving regulates and segregates flow through separate cartridges at the manifolds. A first manifold removes coarse particulates and sediment and exposes the water to an initial bactericide. A second manifold removes finer contaminants. A third concentrator manifold contains a bactericide cartridge having a percolation chamber which enhances the iodine concentration of the water in the range of 3 to 10 ppm at the patient dispensing apparatus. The percolation cartridge includes proximal and distal bactericide chambers which are, separated by an intermediate reservoir or percolation chamber.

Abstract: Apparatus for randomly manipulating and distributing one or a plurality of game pieces such as dice, marbles, coins or the like. In one construction, the game piece is contained within a closed housing having a plurality of apertures formed through side and end walls to support selectively positioned obstruction pieces which may be positioned by the players in a random or predetermined pattern to provide a plurality of passageways through which the game pieces must pass. In another construction, an open ended housing includes a game piece receiving portion, a player selectable directing portion and a randomizer portion including a plurality of obstruction pieces. In another construction, one or more coins may be semi-permanently contained within the housing. In still other constructions, the housing is constructed in halves, each of which contain integral obstruction pieces which define a plurality of passageways to a plurality of permanently contained game pieces.

Abstract: A compressible band and end retainer assembly which secures opposite ends of a band to an intermediate spacer. The band mounts between facing concrete sidewall forms to define a hole, upon pouring and curing a slurry of surrounding concrete. Various band geometries permit hole formation in planar or curvilinear poured walls.
Abstract: A molded plastic wheel having an integrally formed axle retainer which mates to an annular axle groove. In a blow molded wheel construction, a number of flexible tabs radially project into an axle bore. A portion of each tab is acutely displaced to the bore walls adjacent to a region of relief which facilitates tab flexion. The tabs are die cut from flashed material at the bore. Internal trusses formed intermediate external traction lugs at the tread to sidewall transition stabilize the wheel rim.
Abstract: Exercise apparatus having a closed loop, hydraulic controller which provides a user selectable resistance to movement over an operating path. A restrictor valve assembly controls fluid flow in an exercise direction and includes a sealed valve body and a rotatable stem piece having a number of flow bores of differing relative dimension to a primary flow path. A pair of separable interlocking piston head pieces at a piston shaft control a reduced bypass resistance with return travel. Alternately disclosed modular frameworks, which include stationary and carriage portions, permit physical motion in relation to a measurement means which displays relative exertion.
Abstract: A hydrating cat litter which solidifies upon contact with liquids to encapsulate pet waste matter. The litter comprises a mixture of a granulated, organic base material, which is susceptible to decomposition, a gluten containing material, such as ground wheat, and may include a fragrance carrier. In a preferred mixture, the base comprises a quantity of coarse ground agricultural grains, pulse crops or agricultural by-products or mixtures thereof, which support in suspension a quantity of semolina.
Abstract: An assembly and method for restricting shoulder and upper arm motion and supporting a wrist to facilitate healing of the clavicle. The assembly includes a length adjustable, elastic belt or abdominal harness and from which an elastic shoulder strap and support pad are adjustably trained about an injured shoulder. VELCRO fasteners selectively restrain the support pad to the shoulder strap and the shoulder strap and a wrist support to the belt.
Abstract: An auger conveyor assembly including a helical auger infeed section having interrupted auger flights which communicate with an offset, commonly driven outfeed section including a helical ribbon auger and whereat both augers simultaneously blend the mixture at a controlled speed differential. A surrounding housing includes a formed length of rubberized channelway and means are provided for varying the tilt angle of the housing, whereby the blending rate and contained volume of mixture are controlled relative to an outlet port.
Abstract: An outdoor, self-contained wood fueled furnace. The furnace includes a non-warping, laminated sheet metal door; a rear exiting flue with water discharge means; and a baffled, heat exchanger which surrounds the firebox. The door, particularly, includes an external panel which is secured with a single pin to a crossbroken first panel. An insulator is secured between the first panel and a second interior panel, and the first and second panels are riveted to each other.
Abstract: A manifold mounted liquid filtration system including a disposable filter cartridge having first and second radial flow filtration stages containing filtration media of uniform porosity. A first stage includes a pair of annular, concentrically mounted, fibrous sediment and cast carbonaceous filter media. A second stage includes an annular cast carbonaceous filter media. Porous stage separators sequentially direct liquid flow into cavity spaces between the sidewalls of each stage and a liquid impermeable housing where the flow is radially re-directed inward to a center outlet bore. The first stage filters suspended sediments, lead and other heavy metals. The second stage removes suspended bacteria, parasites volatile organic contaminants, herbicides, pesticides, industrial and agricultural contaminants, and the like. Various cartridge constructions having alternative O'ring sealed end caps and internal arrangements of stage separators are disclosed.
