Abstract: Fine particles 1 of an electrically conductive material such as platinum black are being deposited electrolytically on the end surface of an electrically conductive material (base) such as platinum, with immersion of the conductive material in a solution containing both of a conductive material to produce porous deposition 1, e.g. platinum black, and a biofunctional material (biologically active substance) 2 such as an enzyme, so as to produce a microbioelectrode 7 having fine particle layer 1 and biologically active substance 2 incorporated therein, with significantly high surface area.
