Abstract: Objects to be transported which are transported between at least one storage unit and a plurality of manufacturing apparatuses by a plurality of transport vehicles in accordance with a command of a controller are managed inexpensively and easily and with high reliability. An ID card 20 incorporating a wireless communication function is installed on all carriers 18, and an ID read/write unit 25 is installed in some transport vehicles 10. Further, a carrier ID is read or written with respect to the ID card 20 in accordance with a command of an MCS 4 connected to the ID read/write unit 25, so as to manage the carrier ID by a carrier ID management unit 4a.
Abstract: Initial speeds in the move commands for respective control axes at servo-on are determined according to parameter setting, or the comparative relationship or difference in speed among the actual speeds of the control axes so that difference in position between the control axes does not increase as the move commands are executed after the servo-on. The actual speeds of the control axes are set as initial speeds in the move commands, and a target axis is specified on the basis of the comparative relationship among their actual speeds and the other control axes are accelerated or decelerated at the acceleration or deceleration rate specified in the move commands to attain the position and speed of the target axis, so that differences in position and speed among the control axes are gradually decreased as the move commands are executed after the servo-on, thereby preventing abrupt speed changes and suppressing mechanical shocks.
Abstract: For a semiconductor laser, a stacked member comprising an active layer is formed on the surface of a GaN single-crystal substrate, a defect aggregation portion is formed on the rear face of the GaN single-crystal substrate, and an electrode is formed so as to be electrically connected to the defect aggregation portion on the rear face. The defect aggregation portion of this semiconductor laser has numerous crystal defects, and so the carrier concentration is high, and the electrical resistivity is lowered significantly. For this reason, in a semiconductor laser of this invention in which an electrode is formed on this defect aggregation portion, an Ohmic contact can easily be obtained between the GaN single-crystal substrate and the electrode, and by this means a lowered driving voltage is realized.

Abstract: A servo control apparatus that performs dual-position feedback control and thereby achieves a reduction in position error according to the purpose of machining.
Abstract: The process for production of iron oxyhydroxide particles according to the invention is characterized by comprising a step (A) in which a suspension containing iron(II) is prepared, and a step (B) in which fine bubbles with diameters of 0.05-500 ?m are generated in the suspension to form a reaction mixture, and the iron(II) in the reaction mixture is oxidized by the bubbles to produce iron oxyhydroxide particles.
Abstract: The present invention includes a transient method of delivering a biological agent in a breathable liquid to a lung of a patient. The present invention includes a steady state method of delivering a biological agent in a breathable liquid to a lung of a patient. The steps of both the transient delivery method and the steady state delivery method can be controlled by a servo-control unit. A supplementary biological agent delivery step can be performed in both the transient method of delivering a biological agent and the steady state method of delivering a biological agent.

Abstract: It is characterized in that in the case of filling a through hole formed in a substrate with a plated metal by electrolytic plating, the electrolytic plating is started by a high current density higher than Constant Current Density capable of fully filling the through hole when the electrolytic plating is performed with a current density held constant as a current density of the electrolytic plating, and the electrolytic plating is continued by being changed to a current density lower than the high current density by the time of reaching formation of a seam diameter in which an inside diameter does not decrease even when the electrolytic plating is continued after the electrolytic plating at the high current density is started.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of generating an elliptic curve cryptosystem (ECC) signature includes the steps of: generating a first random key (k1) having n bits, where n is a natural number; calculating a first ECC point (V) from k1 and a base point; and storing k1 and V securely in a computer-readable medium. To digitally sign electronic data, the method further includes the steps of generating a second random key (k2), where k2 has fewer than n bits; calculating a second ECC point (Q) from V and k2; and digitally signing electronic data using Q.
Abstract: A package includes: a package body including a substrate, an electronic component mounted on a first surface of the substrate, and a sealing resin layer for sealing the electronic component; and a shield case for covering the sealing resin layer, the shield case being made of metal and having an inverted U-shape in a cross-sectional view, wherein a bent part of the shield case is formed in such a manner that at least a part of an end of the shield case is bent toward a second surface of the substrate opposite to the first surface, and the bent part abuts on the second surface so that the shield case is attached to the substrate.
Abstract: A mounting system for a button includes first and second spring elements located adjacent opposite ends of the button. Each of the spring elements includes a serpentine portion capable of multiple degrees of freedom of movement providing varying actuating motions for the button. The spring elements may be defined by a plate also having a center portion secured to the button and opposite end portions secured to a base. According to one embodiment, the button is made from a thermoplastic material and the plate is metal.
Abstract: The present invention provides a lighting apparatus with an elongated housing which accommodates a light source. The housing may be pivoted to rotate between a stored position and a deployed position. The housing may be maintained at a plurality of desired positions within its range of rotation. In addition, according to a feature of the invention, the elongated housing may be relatively rigid, yet also articulated, so that it can flex transversely in response to an applied force. In an embodiment, the housing may be provided with a swivel portion that can be used to change the direction of the light. Various electrical features may be provided as well, such as a brightness control feature and an auto-off feature that switches off the light in the stowed position.
