  • Patent number: 7337638
Abstract: An anchoring device positionable within the ground for tethering an object to the ground includes a base portion having a first diameter, and an access aperture having a second diameter. The first diameter of the base portion is greater than the second diameter of the access aperture. At least one wall connects the base portion to the access aperture. The device further includes a tether having a first end secured proximate the base portion and a second end positionable through the access aperture and connectable to the object to be secured. The tether is fully disposable within the anchoring device and is longer than the distance between the base portion and the access aperture.

  • Patent number: 7302765
Abstract: An apparatus for connecting a mechanized implement to an all-terrain vehicle having an undercarriage with a front axle and a rear axle includes a unitary frame having a base connected to the unitary frame and a swingable portion. The mechanized implement includes an auxiliary power source separate from the power means of the all-terrain vehicle. The unitary frame includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion connectable to the undercarriage proximate the front axle and the second portion connectable to the undercarriage proximate the rear axle. The base supports the auxiliary power source and is positioned proximate the second portion of the frame. The swingable portion includes a first end pivotally attached to the frame and a second end mateable with the mechanized implement.

  • Patent number: 7293570
Abstract: A carbon dioxide snow apparatus of the present invention includes a carbon dioxide snow generation system and a propellant generation system connected to a common carbon dioxide gas source. The carbon dioxide snow generation system includes a condenser having a at least two connected segments, wherein a first segment has a lesser diameter than the a second segment to provide a stepped expansion cavity for cooling and condensing liquid carbon dioxide into solid carbon dioxide snow. Several snow generation systems, each separately controllable with separate condensers, may be integrated with the propellant generation system and common carbon dioxide source to provide for a multiplicity of carbon dioxide snow applicators for integration into both manual and automated machining processes.

  • Patent number: 7226060
Abstract: A steering device for decreasing a turning radius of a pallet jack includes a ground engaging member connected to a support member of the pallet jack between a main wheel and an extensible wheel. The load supporting member of the pallet jack is positionable between a raised position and a lowered position. A first turning radius of the pallet jack is defined by the distance between the main wheel and the extensible wheel. While the extensible wheel engages the ground when the support frame is positioned towards the raised position, positioning the support member towards the lowered position engages the ground engageable member with the ground causing the extensible wheel to disengage the ground. The main wheel and the ground engageable member then define a second turning radius which is less than the first turning radius.

  • Patent number: 7134946
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a substrate with a cryogenic impingement fluid includes a protective enclosure defining an internal cavity, a cryogenic fluid applicator positioned within the internal cavity and a snow generation system connected to the cryogenic fluid applicator. The snow generation system includes a condensing subsystem and a diluent or propellant gas subsystem. Each subsystem is connectable to a common gas source. The condensing subsystem includes a condenser for condensing liquid carbon dioxide into solid carbon dioxide particles, or dry ice snow. The condenser includes at least two segments of differing diameter connected to one another. Liquid carbon dioxide is introduced into the smaller diameter first segment and upon entering the larger diameter second segment, solidifies into dry ice particles. The dry ice particles, along with diluent or propellant gas produced from the diluent subsystem, are delivered to the cryogenic fluid applicator via a coaxial delivery tube.

  • Patent number: 6913690
Abstract: An automatic debris removal system for screening an effluent stream. The automatic debris removal system comprises a support frame positioned proximate the effluent stream, a bucket positionably connected to the frame, and a camming system attached to the support frame and the bucket. The bucket includes a screening portion and is positionable within the effluent stream to screen and collect the debris. The bucket is positionable within the support frame, and upon raising the bucket past a selected position, the camming system causes the bucket to rotate and dump the debris held therein.

  • Patent number: 6896820
Abstract: An automatic screening apparatus for removing debris from a liquid stream includes a drive mechanism mounted to a support frame. A screen connects to the support frame and collects debris while allowing the liquid to flow through. The drive mechanism positions and interchangeably couples to a first carriage assembly and a second carriage assembly. The first carriage assembly includes a rake that removes the collected debris from the screen. The second carriage assembly includes a bucket that removes the debris collected from the rake. A plunger directs the debris from the rake into the bucket. At selected intervals, the drive mechanism decouples from the first carriage assembly and couples to the second carriage assembly, whereupon the second carriage assembly is positioned to dump the bucket. After dumping the bucket, the drive shaft is decoupled from the second carriage assembly and coupled to the first carriage assembly, whereupon the cycle is repeated.
