Abstract: The invention relates to a method and equipment for producing foam bitumen. Water is mixed to hot bitumen under a pressure which is lower than the prevailing absolute pressure, and after this the pressure is allowed to rise and the flow rate to drop.
Abstract: An acrylic/lactam monomer based polymeric resin is provided which has excellent weatherability, outstanding transparency and optical clarity, improved heath and solvent resistance, as well as improved impact strength. The acrylic/lactam monomer based polymeric resin is formulated by the catalytic activation at ambient temperature of a polymerization syrup which contains from about 300 to about 2970 parts by volume of an acrylic monomer, from about 30 to about 2700 parts by volume of a lactam monomer, from about 0.3 parts to about 40 parts by volume of a mercaptan chain transfer agent and from about 0.3 to about 40 parts by volume of a crosslinking agent capable of crosslinking the acrylic monomer and the lactam monomer. To prevent further polymerization of the polymeric constituents of the polymerization syrup, as well as to enhance the shelf life of the polymerization syrup, an effective amount of a polymerization inhibitor and an ultraviolet light stabilizer are incorporated into the polymerization syrup.
Abstract: A truck trailer with a removable rack adapted for loading and unloading livestock without a loading chute. The trailer and rack have pivotable rear sections to define a loading ramp when pivoted to the ground. A pair of slide rails on the upper surface of the trailer and a pair of slide channels on the lower surface of the rack cooperate to guide the rack onto and from the trailer. A number of lock bars are pivotally mounted to the inner side walls of the rack to secure the rack on the trailer. Using a winch and truck hydraulics, one person is able to pull the rack onto the trailer. The task of removing the rack from the trailer can also be performed by one person.
Abstract: A hand dolly or personal material handling system is provided having a removable reel holder which can be loaded with reels of wire in an extended position, or retracted. The handling system is adapted to carry attachments, including a long stock holder for carrying pipe or electrical conduit, a cable spindle for carrying a reel of coaxial cable, a utility basket, and reel supports for carrying different sized reels of wire or cable. Different configurations of attachments are used depending on the carrying requirements of the handling system.
Abstract: A wrapper for a floral grouping formed from a sheet of material having a closure bonding material on a portion thereof. The sheet of material is wrapped about the floral grouping with the closure bonding material securing the sheet of material in a wrapped position about the floral grouping to form the wrapper. A top flap is folded over an open upper end of the wrapper and connected to the wrapper to prevent the floral grouping from shifting in the wrapper and extending out from the open upper end of the wrapper. In one form, a bottom flap is connected to the wrapper and extends over an open lower end of the wrapper to prevent the floral grouping from shifting in the wrapper and extending out from the open lower end of the wrapper.

Abstract: A method for wrapping a floral grouping wherein a plurality of sheets of material are connected into a pad of sheets of material. The pad has a top sheet of material with the other sheets of material being disposed under the top sheet of material. The floral grouping is placed on the top sheet of material. The top sheet of material is wrapped about a portion of the floral grouping and the top sheet of material and the floral grouping are rolled to wrap the floral grouping in the top sheet of material and simultaneously disconnect the top sheet of material from the pad. The sheets of material are secured about the floral grouping in a wrapped position by an adhesive or cohesive on the sheets of material and the sheets of material are secured in the form of the pad by the adhesive or cohesive materials on the sheet.

Abstract: An improved wrist support for protection against development of carpal tunnel syndrome. The support includes a body member having an upper portion and a lower portion, the lower portion having variable stretch sections for providing variable amounts of support along the wrist, hand and arm. The upper portion of the body member encircles a portion of the thumb for added support. The upper portion of the body member is constructed of neoprene for support, impact resistance and comfort. The fingers of the hand are left substantially unencumbered when the wrist support is in place about the wrist.

Abstract: A portable wastewater treatment system for recycling an aqueous surfactant solution utilized in a parts washer assembly for cleaning parts. The system including a contaminated solution storage tank, a treated solution storage tank, and a portable wastewater treatment apparatus wherein contaminated aqueous surfactant solution is collected in the contaminated solution storage tank, withdrawn from the contaminated solution storage tank, injected with air and passed into a mixing zone where the mixture is sprayed with water. The treated solution in the mixing zone is passed into a quiescent zone where light sludge is passed to the top of the quiescent zone and heavy sludge is passed to the bottom of the quiescent zone, the treated wastewater being disposed between the light sludge and the heavy sludge and the treated wastewater being passed from the quiescent zone into a discharge zone where the treated wastewater is discharged therefrom. The heavy sludge is selectively discharged from the quiescent zone.
Abstract: A fishing rod holder utilizing a single supporting flat bar and a tubular member pivotally secured to the upper end of the flat bar by means of a square cross-section shaft extending through a combination circular aperture and rectangular slot in the single bar. The holder is "cocked" by moving the square cross-section shaft into the rectangular slot and is operated to swing the fishing rod upwardly when a fish takes the bait attached to the fishing line extending from the fishing rod.
Abstract: A wrapping material for wrapping a floral grouping comprised of a pad of sheets of material. Each sheet of material has adhesive unevenly disposed across the upper surface of the material with the amount of adhesive being greater near one end of the adhesive than near the other end of the adhesive. Abstract: Sheets and rolls of sheets with labels having multiple choice blocks and information areas corresponding to the choice blocks. The sheets include a closure bonding material for securing the sheets around items to be wrapped. The labels are detachably connected to the sheets with an adhesive, a perforation or a tear line. Spots of closure bonding material may be placed on the labels to hold the labels in a wrapped position. The information areas typically include data which may be selected to describe the source, type and characteristics of the items to be wrapped in the sheets. The sheets may also include detachable sleeves for protecting wrapped items during shipping and handle areas which may be punched out of the sheets for grasping the wrapped items. The handle areas may also contain information similar to that on the detachable labels. Sheets having labels with choice blocks may also be used for forming flower pots or flower pot covers.
