Patent number: 5558301Abstract: In order that the acceleration suffered by the occupant (O) of an aircraft, particularly a rotary-wing aircraft seat in the case of an accident remains below a humanly withstandable limit, no matter what the size of said occupant, a seat is proposed in which a height regulation of the pan or bucket (16), in which the occupant is received, also has the effect of modifying the inclination of the energy absorbers (38). Thus, the vertical component of the retaining force exerted on the pan (16) by said absorbers decreases with the size of the occupant, which leads to the desired result.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 1994Date of Patent: September 24, 1996Assignee: Aerospatiale Societe Nationale IndustrielleInventors: Ronan Kerdoncuff, Gabriel Martin

Patent number: 5556082Abstract: A cushion unit includes a shock absorber and a suspension spring. The shock absorber includes an open/close valve and a check valve which are arranged in parallel with each other. To increase the height of a vehicle body, the open/close valve is closed so that a piston pressure chamber is allowed to communicate with a spring bracket pressure chamber via the check valve. This causes a hydraulic fluid in the piston pressure chamber to be supplied into the spring bracket pressure chamber under pressure. Accordingly, a cylinder spring bracket slidably arranged around a cylinder of the shock absorber moves upward due to the pressure increase in the spring bracket pressure chamber. Since a lower end of the suspension spring is held against the cylinder spring bracket, the upward movement of the cylinder spring bracket compresses the suspension spring to increase a reactive force thereof so that the height of the vehicle body is increased due to the increased reactive force of the suspension spring.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1994Date of Patent: September 17, 1996Assignee: Showa CorporationInventor: Hideki Takasaki

Patent number: 5245138Abstract: There is disclosed, a gross weight scale for filling material which can be poured or which can flow. The filling material is weighed by means of weighing cells and is filled by way of a filling connection into a bag suspended therefrom and is then compressed. In order to keep the weighing cells free of the compressive forces and so as to be able to check between each filling of the bag, the zero points of the cells in respect of permitted weighing tolerances, the filling connection is constructed as a structural unit which is separate from the filling container and is loosely suspended by means of a hanger arrangement from the weighing cells, which are attached to the filling container, and a decoupling arrangement is provided for bringing the filling connection out of operative engagement with the hanger arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1991Date of Patent: September 14, 1993Assignee: Greif-Werk Maschinenfabrik GmbHInventors: Jorgen Thiele, Harry-Dieter Rasmussen, Karl H.
