Abstract: This invention comprises improved novel aqueous gel compositions, and devices and methods for preparation of such compositions. The invention also includes the uses of these novel compositions and devices made therefrom as linkages for transmitting and measuring electrical phenomena, and particuarly for detecting and transmitting electrical impulses from mammalian skin to or through electrodes. Generally, the compositions of the invention contain critical and specific amounts of polyacrylamide, a titanium organic compound, specific and selected organic gums and at least one conductive salt.

Abstract: A surgical cast for use in treating bone fractures, especially fractures with pins that extend to a pin-site area, includes an opening at the pin-site area and a window that aligns with the opening. The window has a surface that projects away from the pin-site and defines a clearance space between the cast and the pin-site to avoid any rubbing of the pins by the cast. The window also furnishes clearance at the pin-site for terminal connections to a bone growth stimulator.

Abstract: A storage and individualized dosage container for pills, tablets and the like consists essentially of a hollow storage receptacle and a closure cap. The receptacle terminates at its upper extremity in an open mouth. The closure cap includes a bottom wall and sidewalls which together define a compartment dimensioned to contain pills, tablets, etc. of the type stored within the receptacle in lesser quantity. The bottom and sidewalls of the closure cap are proportioned and possess sufficient rigidity such that the closure cap is insertable as a plug into the mouth of the receptacle to selectively seal the same. The closure cap has an opening formed therein at a location remote from its bottom wall. A lid is integral with the closure cap and is movable selectively relative to the opening therein to either close the opening or expose it to provide access to the contents of the compartment in the closure cap.
