Abstract: The invention provides an exhaust valve comprising a valve body, an inlet duct in the valve body for receiving gas to be exhausted through the valve, an exhaust duct in the valve body for exhausting the said gas from the valve, and a valve member subject on the one hand to the ambient external pressure and on the other hand to the pressures in the inlet and exhaust ducts, the valve member moving according to changes in the said pressures between an open position in which there is communication between inlet and exhaust ducts for the exhaustion of gas through the valve and a closed position in which it cuts off such communication; the valve member is preferably mounted in a diaphragm. It also provides a similar valve in which the valve member is instead subject on said one hand to a predetermined maintained fluid pressure, e.g. that within a pressurized chamber. The latter valve can be used to control the pressure in an exhaust line from the exhaust valve.
Abstract: A hand shower and temperature indicating unit is provided. The unit includes a shower head consisting of a water chamber having a perforated water outlet surface and a temperature sensitive means positioned inside the chamber adjacent the opposite surface of the chamber and a rigid conduit section serving as the handle for the unit and integrally attached at one end thereof to the side surface of the chamber. The conduit section has at one end means adapted to direct a water flow towards the temperature sensitive means and has at the free end thereof means for attachment to a water supply line. The unit further includes a temperature indicating means positioned within a recess provided in the outer surface of the unit and operationally attached via a wall of the chamber to the temperature sensitive means to indicate the temperature of the water within the chamber.

Abstract: Castor with a brake device and of the kind having two wheels mounted on a common axle extending through an intervening partition a bore having therein to receive the castor pivot rod. The wheels are retained on the axle by means of a locking member engagng the hubs from below and behind a flange on the hubs. By spring action the locking member is pressed against the hubs for braking the wheels and is released by increasing the load on the pivot rod.
Abstract: This invention provides a method of concentrating a metaliferous ore containing also substantial quantities of pyrites and/or pyrrhotite and/or sphalerite and comprises subjecting an aqueous pulp of the ore to a froth flotation process in the presence of a depressant and in which (1) pyrites and/or pyrrhotite, and/or (2) sphalerite, is depressed by using as the depressant an amine in which at least 20% of the total number of amine groups are tertiary amine groups and in which the number of quaternary amine groups present is zero or is less than one-third the number of tertiary amine groups.

Abstract: Hydrogen and carbon oxides are reacted to form methane by passing an inlet stream of preheated methanation synthesis gas together with a recycle stream of product gas through a catalyst bed in an adiabatic methanation reactor. The inlet temperature is between 250.degree. and 350.degree. C, the outlet temperature between 500.degree. and 700.degree. C. The recycle stream is withdrawn from the outlet stream after the latter has been cooled to a temperature between 250.degree. and 350.degree. C and being, however, at least 50.degree.
