Abstract: Pick-resistant handcuffs having two fixed, arc-shaped hooks and one pivotable, arc-shaped hook. The two fixed ring hooks engage each other to form an accommodation chamber for receiving the pivoting hook penetrating into an open side of the accommodation chamber. Central channels are cut in the teeth outer periphery and accommodate a stop projecting part between the lateral edges of the teeth that inhibits unlocking the stop members of the ratchet attached to the two fixed hooks. Elastic members biased toward the teeth are disposed on either side of the stop projecting part act independently to provide ratchet stops to each tooth edge, and the stop projecting portion blocks insertion of a pick and unlock both of the two ratchets simultaneously.
Abstract: A dual temperature mold assembly for maintaining a mold cavity used in a cast on strap process at two different temperatures facilitates the removal of the solidified strap after the molten metal is solidified. The mold assembly includes a mold cavity having walls attached to different mold assembly segments that are heated or cooled by thermal energy input and coolant processes which can maintain the mold cavities at different temperatures, so that molten metal around the battery plate lugs in a mold cavity segment is solidified while the sides of the mold cavity are exposed to at least one adjacent heated segment to provide thermal energy thereinto, resulting in a reduction of the amount of molten metal necessary for a cast on strap, and reducing the amount of thermal energy input into the process for manufacturing the straps.
Abstract: A system for and method of conversion of electrical energy into gaseous and liquid fuels, comprising steps of and means for provide a hydrocarbon fuels, including a collector for collecting carbon dioxide gas from a carbon dioxide gas source, a means for reducing at least a portion of the collected carbon dioxide gas to carbon monoxide, a means for producing hydrogen from a hydrogen source and a vessel for thermo-chemically reacting the hydrogen gas with carbon dioxide in a Fischer-Tropsch type process in the presence of a catalyst and heat.
Abstract: Display tag holders in one integral part of an injection molded plastic, such as polyurethane, or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, including an essentially planar display portion, a connecting portion and a ring attachment portion, the ring attachment portion having at least one flexible resilient ring segment including a proximal end closest to the display portion and at least one distal end, the at least one flexible resilient ring segment defining a circumferential direction and a ring plane in which the at least one flexible resilient ring segment essentially extends, wherein the at least one flexible resilient ring segment is attached to the display portion by the connecting portion so that the ring plane is essentially perpendicular to the plane of the planar display portion.
Abstract: The invention presents a methodology and device for distribution of playing cards. Automatic operation without manual intervention is its main theme. This eliminates the likely manipulations, monotony, errors associated with manual handling of playing cards. The device has provision of conventional automatic shuffling prior to distributing. Playing cards shuffled in more elaborate manner by other suitable devices also can be used on the invented device. There are many user friendly features of the invented device. These include compact size, portability, ease of operation and maintenance, adaptability to any card games. Optional operation of this device by a remote control enhances its utility Standard playing cards of Bridge or Poker size can be used with this device. The invented device is said to be useful to group of players in homes, club houses, casinos and at out-doors.
