Abstract: A heat exchanger, by which the entire ironing surface of a commercial laundry flatwork finisher is uniformly heated, includes a chest ironing surface backed by a fluid cavity that is in turn externally heated by a gas burner. A temperature control element is immersed in the heat transfer fluid and reduces temperature differential across the entire ironing surface allowing the machine to be operated continuously and more efficiently.
Abstract: A device for use with waste containers wherein the waste is packed, compressed and held in its compact state within the container until the container's capacity is reached. The device comprises a frame consisting of a pair of cross bars with the opposite ends of certain of the cross bars received in vertical channels carried by confronting interior wall surfaces of the wall container. The channels are provided with yieldable locking members projecting inwardly of the channels and adapted to retain the cross bars in a depressed position against the compacted waste material within the container.
Abstract: An adjustable gearless line spacer for use with metal stamping typewriter apparatuses where it is desirous to uniformly space each line of type through a simple lever actuation, and to be able to conveniently adjust and preset the spacing between lines of type.
Abstract: A dispensing reel for coils of plastic pipe and tubes wherein the coils are positioned on and retained between pairs of rollers arranged in series of open core retention units with each unit having a releasable coil captive latch which, when in an open condition, permits the installation of an open core coil upon the retention units of the reel.
Abstract: A hopper discharge valve for railway hopper cars used in transporting granular lading with the valve including a fully rotatable valve shaft having a plurality of discharging channels formed in its periphery throughout its length, with the channels being arranged so as to provide simultaneous discharge from both ends of the hopper car or from selected ends thereof.
Abstract: An independant carrier for caskets and the like, which carrier provides handles whereby the casket may be readily carried about with the carrier capable of having the handles folded into a collapsible relationship for storage and ease of handling when not in use.
Abstract: A control circuit for gas fired burners and the like such as are employed in commercial laundry fabric ironers requiring the energization of a blower motor and the resulting opening of a gas valve and ignition of a gas burner only after an air pressure sensitive switch is actuated through the operation of the blower motor for purging the system of combustible gases.
Abstract: A file cabinet and drawer each formed from a single sheet of cardboard, fiberboard, or like material with the file cabinet being formed to provide a housing for the drawer. The drawer being so formed as to have multiple layered front and rear walls and doubled panelled side walls with one of said panelled side walls providing an interior file carrier support.
Abstract: A rotatable article storage and display holder having a number of hangers for the pre-packaged articles sought to be displayed. The holder includes a means of adjusting the hangers longitudinally throughout their length as well as through a vertical component relative to their attachment to a freely rotatable top, which in turn is supported on a vertical standard mounted upon a stabilizing base.
Abstract: An apparatus including feeding and assembling mechanisms by which a strip of terminals will be fed into a work station where a plurality of such terminals are separated from the strip and are forcibly inserted into a terminal holder that has been properly indexed in a receiving position. The apparatus provides a single drive source consisting of a plurality of operational cams for sequentially completing the assembly.
Abstract: A heat reflective and insulative prefabricated panel consisting of a metallic outer facing sheet and a metallic backing sheet encapsulating a plurality of cellular foil sheets. The foil sheets are preformed to present raised ribs which are adapted to cooperate with like ribs of juxtaposed sheets to define enclosed cells that prevent heat transfer by convection.
Abstract: A mounting for a prefabricated insulated panel comprising an outer metallic covering upon which are mounted batts of insulated material. A Z-shaped connector embraces an exposed edge of the batts of insulating material and is adapted to provide a mounting connection between the outer covering and a combination internal spacer and mounting connector extending through the insulating material for attaching the panel to a structural support.
Abstract: A convertible barn for grain or tobacco curing formed from a structural rail-like frame supporting metallic walls and roof made of corrugated sheets and the like and providing a floorless base frame arrangement that includes a longitudinally extending center beam for housing an auger element rotatable through its longitudinal length by a detachable power unit positioned externally of the barn. The structure includes at one end a furnace room for supplying heat through its base area. The base area of the barn may be covered by a removable perforated flooring when the barn is used for curing grain and the like.
Abstract: A motor energizing control and reversing circuit designed to be used on a power seat control in vehicles. The circuit includes a reversible motor that primarily drives suitable gear trains which effect seat movement in a plurality of directions and then momentarily reverses the motor so as to apply moving power to the gear train in an opposite direction to relieve pressure thereon and prevent a locked rotor condition in which the seat could not be moved.
Abstract: A fastener for attaching a panel of insulating material to the inner surface of a metallic wall structure. The fastener consists of a prong-type member having one end mounted onto the inner wall surface of the wall structure and adapted to have its opposite free end penetrated through a panel of insulating material with such free end cooperating with a locking plate positioned exteriorly of the panel of insulating material for securing the same onto the wall structure.
Abstract: An apparatus for finishing work pieces such as by abrading, grinding or polishing wherein said work pieces are carried by a work holder movable through a rectilinear path while being simultaneously rotated about a vertical axis beneath a continuous moving finishing element.
