Patent number: 4075556Abstract: A test fixture for a miniature polygonal capacitor having radial and/or al terminal leads and/or conductive end electrodes, includes an insulative support on which are two brackets to which is secured a shield plate assembly. The shield plate assembly is comprised of a pair of slightly spaced parallel trapezoidal shield plates. Opposing inner edges of the plates are angularly disposed to facilitate receiving the capacitor under test, when the axial terminal leads of the capacitor enter between the shield plates. Another shield plate assembly is mounted to and under the brackets, and includes another pair of parallel shield plates disposed perpendicular to the upper trapezoidal shield plates and between the angular edges to receive any radial lead of the capacitor. Connectors for the external capacitor measuring device are secured to the conductive brackets. A stiffener plate may be secured to the insulative plate to keep it rigid and prevent capacitance changes of the test fixture.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1977Date of Patent: February 21, 1978Assignee: American Technical Ceramics, division of Phase Industries Inc.Inventor: Harry V. Patent number: 4021708Abstract: A vertical adjustable capacitor assembly includes a tubular dielectric body n which are embedded two diametrically opposed cylindrically curved electrically conductive plates. One plate serves as a stator plate and extends through one end of the tubular body to contact a terminal element at the bottom thereof. The other plate extends through both ends of the tubular body with one end of the plate contacting another terminal element at the bottom of the tubular body and the upper end of this plate is in direct electric circuit with the head of an electrically conductive rotary rotor having a shaft rotatably fitted in the axial, cylindrical bore of the tubular body. An arcuate member mounted on top of the tubular body prevents the rotor from axial movement while permitting rotation of the rotor. Rotation of the rotor through 180.degree. in either direction from a center position of minimum capacitance, tunes the capacitor assembly through its entire range.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1975Date of Patent: May 3, 1977Assignee: American Technical Ceramics, Division of Phase Industries, Inc.Inventors: Victor Insetta, Harry V. Patent number: 4004666Abstract: A reversible wrench has a handle integral with a ring shaped head. A reversing mechanism in the head includes a cup shaped member rotatable on a cam block carrying a tool holder. A rotatable control plate on the head has a depending pin engaged in a slot in an end wall of the cup shaped member. The cam block has an upstanding pin engaged in another slot in the end wall and contacting a leaf spring carried by the control plate. Slots in a cylindrical wall of the cup shaped member carry rollers adjacent the cam faces of the cam block. A finger grip on the control plate facilitates rotation of the control plate and rotation of the cup shaped member and rollers on the cam block to effect reversing action between the wrench head and the tool holder.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1975Date of Patent: January 25, 1977Assignee: Besenbruch-Hofmann, Inc.Inventor: Carlos R.
