Abstract: A method of verifying the transmission of audio content in a media stream may comprise receiving from a server a portion of a media stream having a first audio file format, processing the media stream portion to obtain data values, and determining if any of the data values fall outside of a pre-determined range of data values. A system for verifying the transmission of audio content may comprise a computer connected to a server over a network, and the computer may be adapted to receive from the server a portion of a media stream having a first audio file format, process the media stream portion to obtain a set of data values, determine the highest absolute data value of the set and compare the highest absolute data value to a data value corresponding to audio silence.

Abstract: A method is provided for enterprise management and bundling of radio, outdoor and entertainment inventory to achieve maximum revenue on perishable products. An electronic data-mart 110 or central information storage and data processing system is established to collect influencing factors for the probability and price sensitivity of a particular advertising buyer 120. The data-mart 110 also collects business rules for inventory scaling, available inventory to sell, budget (goal) information, advertiser payment history, and station performance data to feed to a scenario planner 130. Once three or more variables exist, inventory and pricing fuzzy logic algorithms create scenario plans to present the most profitable bundle of offerings. The scenarios are typically pre-approved although presented to the local business units 150 for an abnormality failsafe. Once processed by the local business units 150, the scenarios are presented to the advertising buyer 120.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for broadcasting media events, the method including the steps of providing a sequence of media events in a first server, the sequence of media events including at least one media event of a first type and a plurality of media events of a second type; playing the sequence from the first server to a second server prior to a predetermined broadcast time; and storing at the second server at least a part of the sequence received from the first server.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for providing targeted information. In one embodiment of the present invention, an encrypted request for targeted information is received from a user. The encrypted request has a logon authorization element and a parameter requirement element. When the logon authorization element is satisfied, an encrypted list of data items is transmitted to the user. Each data item satisfies the parameter requirement element. In one embodiment, the data item is an advertisement. The above-described invention has utility for providing the user with advertisement options that satisfy the user's parameter requirements.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for improving the isolation characteristics of a combiner. In a system comprising a digital and analog radio signal combiner and a digital transmitter, an analog transmitter, an antenna, and a reject load coupled to the combiner, adjusting an impedance matching device coupled between the reject load and combiner so as to reduce the energy transmitted from the digital transmitter to the analog transmitter through the combiner.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for providing information. According to one embodiment of the present invention, at least two data segments are collected. Each data segment is collected from a media stream, and each media stream is located at a different media source. Then, a composite media stream is generated by joining together each of the collected data segments. In another embodiment, the data segment is an audio data segment. The above-described invention has utility for allowing a user/listener to search for an Internet radio station by listening to a composite media stream.

Abstract: Multiple widths of fluid may be extruded onto portions of material without requiring a complex reconfiguration of the system or replacing the extruding device. In at least one embodiment, various extrusion widths are provided by altering the angle at which materials are guided with respect to the extruding device along a lateral plane with the extruder. In one embodiment, the present invention provides for the manipulation of the position of the extruding device with respect to the material, or alternately, by manipulation of the position of the material with respect to the extruding device. Another embodiment provides a single extruder with multiple applicator heads of different sizes. An additional embodiment provides a single coater head with multiple applicator openings of different sizes. Yet another embodiment provides an extruding device capable of moving laterally over the material to achieve the proper angle of approach.
