  • Patent number: 7967523
Abstract: A trench drain assembly including a flow channel and a frame for supporting the channel in a trench. Sidewalls of the frame have a gradually increasing height between ends of the frame so that the frame creates a gradual slope for the assembly to properly drain. In addition, sidewalls of the frame include spaced lugs that extend outwardly and sidewalls of the channel include spaced lugs that extend inwardly to create an interference fit with the lugs of the frame so that the channel can be easily attached to the frame. During assembly, the frame is lowered onto the channel so that the lugs of the frame are received between the lugs of the channels and the frame is then slid with respect to the channel until the lugs of the frame are positioned below the lugs of the channel to secure the frame to the channel.

  • Patent number: 7969563
Abstract: A lens measuring device and method applied therein. The lens measuring device includes a light source, a first polarizer, a second polarizer, and an image analysis module. The method includes enabling the light source to orderly pass through the first polarizer, a lens to be measured, and the second polarizer to generate a light beam to be measured, and then enabling the image analysis module to analyze image-related information of the light beam to be measured, consequently deducing the structural center and energy distribution of the lens to be measured, and then further analyzing errors in polarity and skewness of the lens to be measured. By applying a common light source, the method is spared complicated correction that is otherwise required when a conventional collimating laser light source is applied, and the method can also easily and simultaneously test a plurality of lenses to be measured.

  • Patent number: 7965903
Abstract: An image processing apparatus forming an image of image data on a recording medium, is characterized by, when forming the image by synthesizing the image data with specific information including an image different from the image data, varying the number of pieces of the specific information according to a size of a specific information imparting region to which the specific information is imparted. Thereby, when the specific information imparting region is small, such as in the case of a postcard and a name card, it is possible to surely detect the specific information by increasing the number of pieces of the specific information. Further, when reading an image, the image processing apparatus varies, on the basis of a detected number of pieces of the specific information, a threshold value for determining whether or not the specific information is adopted, according to a size of the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 7964653
Abstract: A polyol composition contains a polyaminochlorophenylmethane mixture (A) and a polyol (B), in which the component (A) is uniformly dissolved in the component (A) in a weight ratio of 30/70 to 60/40. The component (A) includes 50 to 70% by weight of a specific binuclear polyaminochlorophenylmethane compound, 20 to 40% by weight of a specific trinuclear polyaminochlorophenylmethane compound and 5 to 10% by weight of a specific tetranuclear or higher polyaminochlorophenylmethane compound. The polyol composition exhibits excellent miscibility and dissolution stability, is liquid and enables molding of a foamed article for abrasive in a simple two-component mixing casting machine. According to the present invention, water serving as a foaming agent can be added to the polyol composition containing MBOCA, and the composition for a two-component curable abrasive foam can be held to a temperature equal to or lower than the boiling point of water, thus avoiding water from evaporating upon molding.

  • Patent number: 7965488
Abstract: An antenna is disclosed to efficiently ionize the atmosphere for the purpose of reducing the aerosol counts, and therefore the number of poluted particles in suspension in the atmosphere, by deposition to ground. The antenna includes peripheral nodes and a central node. Each of the peripheral nodes is connected to adjacent peripheral nodes through peripheral spokes. The peripheral nodes are also connected to the central node through radial spokes. Electric power is applied to the peripheral spokes and the radial spokes causing the antenna to charge the atmosphere through the emission of ions. The antenna minimizes an attenuation factor that reduces ionization efficiency and reduces the land requirements for its installation.
