  • Patent number: 8079421
Abstract: A method and device for preventing fire and for extinguishing fire in an enclosed space in which a permanent negative pressure is set, includes fresh air being supplied in a regulated manner to the compartment atmosphere as supply air and exhaust air being discharged from the compartment atmosphere in a regulated manner, and wherein should a fire occur or to prevent a fire, an extinguishing agent which is gaseous under normal conditions is supplied to the compartment atmosphere as the supply air. In order to achieve a relieving of pressure without changing the set negative pressure, or upon a sudden flooding of the space with the gaseous extinguishing agent, the total volume flow of fresh air and/or extinguishing agent supplied to the compartment atmosphere as supply air is at all times less than or equal to the volume flow of the exhaust air discharged from the compartment atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 8075076
Abstract: A signal processing apparatus has a first circuit board having a digital/analog converter, a second circuit board having an operational amplifier, a connector connecting the first circuit board and the second circuit board, a transmitter on the first circuit board, and a controller on the second circuit board. The digital/analog converter converts, to an analog signal, a digital signal as a reference of a voltage to be applied to a capacitive load and outputs the analog signal. The operational amplifier is connected to the capacitive load at an output terminal thereof via a switching element, and amplifies the voltage of the analog signal to output. The transmitter transmits a predetermined signal to the second circuit board via the connector. The controller prevents the voltage of the analog signal from being applied to the capacitive load when the predetermined signal is not received in the second circuit board.

  • Patent number: 8064572
Abstract: The accuracy of combining positions of elongated images is improved at low cost, in a radiation imaging apparatus for generating elongated images having dimensions greater than a detectable range of a radiation image detecting means. A laser source is utilized. Displacement measuring means for measuring distances to targets by receiving a laser beam reflected by the subjects is provided. Positions that correspond to the ends of images in the movement direction of the radiation image detecting means are scanned in the direction perpendicular to the movement direction with the laser beam at each imaging operation. The displacement measuring means measures the positions of the ends of subjects in the laser scanning direction by receiving the laser beam reflected during scanning. An image processing means matches the combining positions of radiation images such that the ends of the subjects measured during each imaging operation are matched, and generates the elongated image.
