Abstract: A golf club is provided which will enable a golf player to easily determine when he has executed an improper swing known as a "twist swing". The golf club of the present invention is characterized by a hollow, circular readily flexible shaft provided with a conventional wood or metal club head at one end and a grip at the other end with a flexible, thin, flat metal leaf or strip fixedly positioned within the hollow shaft for substantially its entire length with the width thereof corresponding to the internal diameter of the shaft. The metal leaf is placed in an alignment with the shaft such that when a "twist swing" is created the metal leaf will be torsionally twisted along its longitudinal axis and will create a rubbing sound and cause vibration to the shaft.
Abstract: An improved process for recovering Indicine-N-oxide from plant sources which involves water extracting the plant material, preferably by water buffered at pH 7, followed by adsorbing the Indicine-N-oxide from the extract, after which the Indicine-N-oxide is eluted from the adsorbent in alcoholic solution, then concentrated and purified as heretofore.Desirably, the adsorbed Indicine-N-oxide is water washed prior to elution so as to remove any water soluble impurities that had been adsorbed from the extract.A preferred adsorbent is a cross linked polystyrene.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a recording mechanism of a picture and writing transmission and recording system using a ball-point-pen which is pressed to a recording surface with some pressure corresponding to electrical signals obtained from informations of letters, marks and pictures so as to put ink on the surface. The present invention is characterized in that a moving coil, which is connected with the said ball-point-pen and is set in magnetic field so as to be controlled with signal current, is freely movable in the axial direction of the ball-point-pen in a certain range so that the pressure of the ball-point-pen which is given to the recording surface and corresponding to a determined signal current is kept essentially uniform.
Abstract: A gas injection system for an internal combustion engine including a combustion chamber having an inlet port connected to a main intake passage in which a throttle valve is mounted, and an injection bore provided on the combustion chamber and connected to one end of a secondary intake passage which is opened and closed by a secondary inlet valve, said system comprising a port provided in a wall of said main intake passage upstream of the throttle valve and connected to the other end of the secondary intake passage, through which air or an air-fuel mixture is led and strongly injected from said injection bore by a high negative pressure produced in the combustion chamber, and another port provided in the wall of said main intake passage slightly downstream of the throttle valve at its idle-open position, an amount of said injected gas being controlled by a negative pressure produced at said another port.
