Patent number: 7155924Abstract: An apparatus and method for cooling air that utilizes a removable reservoir that may be filled with a consumable beverage or other cooled liquid or solid material. The bottom of the reservoir is made of a thermally conductive material that is placed within an air duct within a base unit that has a battery powered fan capable of drawing in warm air from outside of the base unit and cooling it by passing it over the thermally conductive material in a turbulent fashion and expelling it back into the surrounding environment. An expandable hose may also be included to direct the airflow in a desired direction or location. The unit may also include an alternative path for airflow such that the airflow may be heated. The unit may also be secured to an open air vehicle such as a golf cart to provide cooled or heated air for golf course patrons.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2004Date of Patent: January 2, 2007Assignee: Coolwell, LLCInventors: Raymond S. Patent number: 7066192Abstract: The invention is a valve shut off device that is easy to install and remove. The valve shut off device has at least one sensor, a receiver a set of interchangeable adapters, and a motor unit. The motor unit is attached to a valve handle by an adapter, and the sensor can communicate to activate the motor. When the sensor detects a leaking substance, the motor unit is activated and turns the valve handle to the “off” position. The adapters allow easy installation and removal of the valve shut off device. Additionally, the adapters accommodate a variety of valves making the system universal. Among other things, the valve shut off device allows a property owner to be absent from his or her property without the risk of a leak causing extensive damage.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2004Date of Patent: June 27, 2006Inventors: Brian Delaney, Greg Jones

Patent number: 7036780Abstract: A rock-climbing device that safely aids climbers during a climb is described. The rock-climbing device has two carabiners attached to a band which runs through a hollow tube. The climber is able to manually extend the tube over his or her head to an out of reach fixed anchor in the wall of the rock and safely attach the carabiner at the end of the device. This allows the climber to then attach the bottom carabiner of the rock-climbing device to his or her harness via a rope on the harness. The rock-climbing device allows the climber to safely and easily advance up the rock.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2004Date of Patent: May 2, 2006Inventor: Marilyn Geninatti

Patent number: 6990944Abstract: The motor according to the present invention consists of a piston (1), cylinder (2), connecting rod (3), connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4), connecting rod rotary bolt (5), crank shaft (6), crank shaft bolt (7), double faced gear wheel (9) and other gear wheels (10, 11, 12). As the connecting rod (3) is moved by the connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4) that moves together with the connecting rod rotary bolt (5), without being directly dependent on the movement of the crank shaft bolt (7) although the connecting rod (3) is connected to the crank shaft (6) and to the piston (1); the crank shaft (6) moves independently of the connecting rod (3). This provides the difference between the travel path of the piston (1) between the lower and upper dead points, and the rotational diameter of the crank shaft bolt (7). In this case, the connecting rod (3) makes an elliptical movement on the crank shaft bolt (7) instead of a circular movement.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2005Date of Patent: January 31, 2006Inventor: Hasan Basri Ozdamar

Patent number: 6935252Abstract: The apparatus is propelled or towed in a longitudinal direction over a field and the apparatus components engage the field surface to inject fluid beneath the field surface. Generally, the apparatus is a frame and at least one series of fluid distribution discs rotationally coupled at end portions of an arm assemblies pivotally suspended from the frame. The fluid distribution discs include a plurality of fluid distribution channels that radiate from the fluid distribution disc origin to conically shaped tines connected at the perimeter of the fluid distribution disc. The fluid distribution channels are aligned with similar channels within a bushing securable to the fluid distribution disc radial portion. A stationary plate or disc valve has a disc valve fluid channel in a disc valve radial surface, which is in contact with the rotating bushing radial surface resulting in a periodic alignment between the disc valve fluid channel and each of the bushing channels.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2004Date of Patent: August 30, 2005Assignee: American Soil Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Carl P. Patent number: 6923460Abstract: A split-frame, heavy truck, suspension system for trucks that haul trailers made of three moveable interlocked rigid frames referred to as the front frame, rear frame, and interconnecting frame. The front frame supports the cab, engine, and transmission. The rear primary frame supports the drive axle and fifth wheel. The rear end of the interconnecting frame is pivotally mounted to the rear frame whereby the rear frame may rotate about a transverse axis. The front end of the interconnecting frame is mounted to the front frame in a manner that permits the interconnecting frame to rotate and pivot along its longitudinal axis relative to the front frame. Hydraulic cylinders are used to dampen vibrations and oscillations within this split-frame structure. An alternative embodiment allows the front frame to connect directly to the rear frame.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2001Date of Patent: August 2, 2005Inventor: Clower E. Maloy

Patent number: 6896232Abstract: The quick clamp and quick release device is incorporated in a clamp that can quickly clamp and release an object between two plates. The quick clamp and quick release device enables a user to quickly clamp an object with one hand and without the need for mechanical assistance to increase the clamping pressure on the clamped object like a screw clamp or a ratcheting clamp. The quick clamp and quick release device enables a user to quickly clamp and release objects such as bicycles, shotguns and other objects without damaging those objects in the clamping process. The clamp can be mounted to a wall, table or other structure to provide a convenient and easy way to store and mount objects.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2003Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Inventors: Mike L.
