  • Patent number: 7097912
Abstract: Antimicrobial and antifogging polymeric films with preferable A/C/E structure useful for the food, medicine and agriculture applications as well as for other general packaging and non-traditional special applications. More preferably, animicrobial and antifogging films having a A/B/C/E structure. Most preferably, antimicrobial and antifogging films having a A/B/C/D/E structure. A multilayer structure (having at least an skin layer (A) having antifogging and antimicrobial properties/a core layer (C)/an outer layer (E) structure) for semi and biaxially oriented polyolefin based antifogging films having advantageous properties as compared with known and commercial films such as low values of haze, high values of sheen, lower longitudinal and transverse shrinkage, which provides high dimensional stability, and excellent antifogging and antimicrobial properties. Preferably the skin layer (A), having antifogging and antimicrobial properties, is electrical corona or flame treated.

  • Patent number: 7089864
Abstract: An anti-personnel projectile launched from a weapon shell required at impact to have a low lethality consequence, in which the projectile is fitted in the shell in a shape characterized by a blunt end in the direction of flight and maintained in this shape by oppositely directed air resistance and propelling forces to obviate a change of shape during flight that might cause a serious injury.

  • Patent number: 6979045
Abstract: The present invention is a window system for convertible motor vehicles that incorporates the use of woven fabric made from vinyl coated polyester yarn in such a way that it (1) reduces the “greenhouse effect” that occurs when the soft-covering system is on the vehicle, whether the window is open or not, (2) reduces the harmful unwanted effects the sun can have on the driver, the passengers and the interior of the passenger compartment, (3) reduces the airflow that occurs when the vehicle is driven with one or more flexible windows down, (4) makes it more difficult for a passerby to see into the passenger compartment, while still allowing an occupant to see the outside from inside the passenger compartment and (5) protects the flexible window from being scratched or otherwise damaged.

  • Patent number: 6935252
Abstract: The apparatus is propelled or towed in a longitudinal direction over a field and the apparatus components engage the field surface to inject fluid beneath the field surface. Generally, the apparatus is a frame and at least one series of fluid distribution discs rotationally coupled at end portions of an arm assemblies pivotally suspended from the frame. The fluid distribution discs include a plurality of fluid distribution channels that radiate from the fluid distribution disc origin to conically shaped tines connected at the perimeter of the fluid distribution disc. The fluid distribution channels are aligned with similar channels within a bushing securable to the fluid distribution disc radial portion. A stationary plate or disc valve has a disc valve fluid channel in a disc valve radial surface, which is in contact with the rotating bushing radial surface resulting in a periodic alignment between the disc valve fluid channel and each of the bushing channels.

  • Patent number: 6857412
Abstract: The motor according to the present invention consists of a piston (1), cylinder (2), connecting rod (3), connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4), connecting rod rotary bolt (5), crank shaft (6), crank shaft bolt (7), double faced gear wheel (9) and other gear wheels (10, 11, 12). As the connecting rod (3) is moved by the connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4) that moves together with the connecting (14) rotary bolt (5), without being directly dependent on the movement of the crank shaft bolt (7) although the connecting rod (3) is connected to the crank shaft (6) and to the piston (1); the crank shaft (6) moves independently of the connecting rod (3). This provides the difference between the travel path of the piston (1) between the lower and upper dead points, and the rotational diameter of the crank shaft bolt (7). In this case, the connecting rod (3) makes an elliptical movement on the crank shaft bolt (7) instead of a circular movement.

  • Patent number: 6559619
Abstract: An improved energy controller that increases the electrical efficiency of AC induction motors and electrical lights that is comprised of a microcontroller integrated with a signal control circuit to regulate the amount of the input line A/C signal that passes from the input the to electrical device. The microcontroller includes circuitry to measure the phase of the voltage and current of the input A/C signal and the shift of the phase across the motor or electric light. Using this phase difference, the microcontroller can determine the power factor and regulate the amount of power provided to the electric motor or light in response to changes in loading on the motor or light. The energy controller includes software that enables the microcontroller to provide a soft-start for induction motors.

  • Patent number: 6530078
Abstract: A method and system comprising a single IBM S/390 computer architecture running an OS/390 operating system, and at least two guest systems executing within the S/390 computer architecture. Each guest system comprising an execution space, allocated within the virtual memory space of the S/390 computer architecture, in which a guest program or operating system may be executed. Each guest system is configured such that if a Start Interpretive Execution instruction in invoked, the instruction is interpreted and a corresponding function is performed in its place to simulate, for the guest program or operating system, the effect of the IBM S/390 computer architecture. Control is then returned to the guest system at the next instruction after the Start Interpretive Execution instruction, thus allowing the guest program or operating system to execute transparently.
