Abstract: The invention relates to improvements in the method of and means for automatic attachment of labels or transparent envelopes having a pressure sensitive adhesive backing, on a sheet of material such as a file folder or the like.
Abstract: An exercising apparatus including an adjustable body frame mounted to be rotated in uninterrupted motion 360.degree. and having a body support including a fixed hand hold and a foot support, the latter being capable of being rotated out of the plane of the body frame to enable the user to rotate head over foot sideways. The body support includes a substantially circular enclosure with a diameter substantially larger than the body of a user to permit movement of the body in any lateral direction. The body support, at any position of the body frame about the its horizontal axis of rotation, selectively reduces by any one of a plurality of different amounts the exertion required of the user to support the component of his body weight lying non-parallel to the longitudinal axis of while the user's body rotates with the frame.
Abstract: A double-duty diaper characterized by the inclusion of a moisture absorbent auxiliary insert strip to absorb moisture and fabricated to facilitate easy folding of the strip while the diaper is being worn so as to cover any solids prior to removing the strip from the main diaper. The strip also insures wide distribution of moisture and resists premature spill-over.
Abstract: Suction dredges of a character having a flexibly mounted suction tube ladder provided on its free end with a suction head having dual mouths opening in opposite directions and a valve therein to afford selective opening of one or the other of the mouths. There is also a power driven auger to urge the suction head firmly against the work area.
Abstract: Fire fighting equipment consisting of a water flow pipe, connected at one end to a pressurized water source, and having an 180.degree. bend at its other end which carries a novelly constructed spray nozzle and having anti-swirl elements in the flow passages. The method of use is also disclosed.
Abstract: A conveyor system wherein randomly spaced articles are advanced on a conveyor at a predetermined rate of speed, and means made effective by the presence of an article in a predetermined position on said conveyor, to lift the article therefrom and advance it a predetermined distance at a greater speed than that of the conveyor so as to locate each article in uniform spaced relation to an article in advance thereof and reposition it on the conveyor.
Abstract: A jet flow alternator for reversing the flow of a confined fluid stream which includes selectively controlled tubes to cause said stream to flow in either one of two directions under pressure.
Abstract: A disposable diaper having a removable laminated supplemental insert formed with a pull tab to permit its separation from the diaper. Both the diaper and insert have means to insure spreading of any moisture deposited thereon. The insert also includes means to initially hold the margins of the diaper folded thereover.
Abstract: A double duty disposable diaper comprised of a bottom moisture impervious layer of thin material having one or more layers of absorbent material arranged thereon face to face, and a strip comprised of like layers of material centrally arranged on the absorbent layer midway between its side edges. The insert strip extends to or beyond at least one edge of said absorbent layer and is detachably secured to said layer. At least one absorbent layer of the diaper assembly may be impregnated with medication or a deodorant. The invention also embodies the method of fabricating such a diaper.
Abstract: A frame or rack including novel means for suspending therein data binders or the like in a multitude of positions and the lateral guide channels or tracks and co-operating hanger handles or bars used for lateral suspension.
Abstract: A spin lathe embodying novel means to deliver pressurized fluid to means controlling operation of the work holding chuck, and a manually adjustable hydraulically actuated switch element for limiting travel of the work piece forging tool for "necking" operations. Also embodied in the structure is a novel turntable mounting for the forging tool and the method and means to blow out the hole in the partially closed end of the work piece prior to final closing of said end.
Abstract: A suspension file folder having a suspension bar with hanger elements at its ends each formed with a hanger hook embodying means for suspending the file folder at one or both ends. The hanger elements can be integral with the suspension bar or slidable thereon into a plurality of positions.
