Abstract: A panel (1) intended to constitute a wall element is formed by two rectangular pieces of sheet metal (2, 3) separated by expanded resin (4). On the periphery of the panel, the connection between the pieces of sheet metal is realized by a shape (6) of synthetic resin. Each piece of sheet metal exhibits along its edges a groove (7), while a groove (6') of the same section is made on the periphery of the panel on its edge faces. Each corner of the panel is formed by a corner piece (8) exhibiting hollows (9, 10, 13, 14) extending the grooves (6', 7') of the panel (1).

Abstract: A multi-cartridge syringe assembly includes one cartridge containing a diluent and insertable within another cartridge containing dry medication. The nose of the diluent cartridge supports a cannula and is surrounded by a lock head member. In an initial mode, the exposed cannula is surrounded by a resilient cover. A retaining element extending rearwardly from a piston in the medication cartridge includes lock elements sequentially engageable with first and second annular devices on the lock head member as the two cartridges are axially displaced towards each other. In a first position the two cartridges are locked together without any axial displacement between the cannula and its cover while in a second position the cover is forced rearwardly of the cannula as the point of the cannula pierces the cover as well as the piston in the medication cartridge.

Abstract: An aid for persons wishing to improve the golf stroke known as putting. The aid comprises two planar surfaces with a relfex angle of between 127 and 140 degrees therebetween. One surface is reflective and supports a cylindrical leveling device in a cylindrical channel while the other is intended to replace the ball striking face of a putting club. The aid is mounted on the putting club with the other surface in its intended position and the levelling device in a levelling plane which is substantially parallel to the line of intersection of the planes which include the two planar surfaces.

Abstract: In this ridge or hip covering, flexible sealing strips (9) are arranged between the covering caps (7) fastened to the ridge or hip board (6) of the roof structure and the roofing tiles (3).In order that the sealing strips (9) can universally be used with the most different roofing tiles and roof pitches, they comprise a flexible supporting strip (10) which is provided on one or both longitudinal edges (11) with a comblike edge part (12) of elastically deformable material, the teeth (12a) of which are connected with an edge strip (13) of flexible material which bridges the tooth spaces allowing the teeth to spread, whereby the outer longitudinal edge (14) of the edge strip adapts to the contour of the upper side of the roofing tiles (3) lying below it.If with the sealing strips (9) both a sealing against rain and driving snow and a ventilation of the roof space is to be made possible, an air-permeable bonded fabric, in particular of polyester or polyamide fibres, can be used for the edge strip (13).

Abstract: A sinker for attachment to a fishing line, the sinker comprises a pentahedral body of isosceles triangular section which tapers from end to end of the body. The ends are in parallel planes at right angles to the apex edge of the body. A longitudinal line attachment rail parallel to the apex edge projects centrally above the base face of the body which is opposite the apex edge. An arm extends from the smaller end of the body and lies parallel to the rail.

Abstract: A sewing machine includes a stud carried by a journal surrounding a tubular needle bar having a lateral opening. A link connected to the journal normally drives the needle bar when the stud is engaged within the needle bar opening. A disconnecting rod within the tubular needle bar is axially displaceable and includes a ramp engageable with a control member, also within the needle bar, to drive the stud from the needle bar opening and thereby disengage the journal from the needle bar.

Abstract: The sheet feed device (1) comprises several cassettes (13) on which the sheets (11) are stacked, a removal mechanism, associated with each of the supports, intended to remove a sheet from the cassette (13) and introduce it into the printer (2), and a selection mechanism intended to activate one of the removal mechanisms. This selection mechanism consists of a guide part (72) comprising several tracks (73 to 75) and a selection lever (56) made to engage with the top of guide part (72). When the platen (3) of the printer (2) turns in the direction opposite the direction of introduction of the paper, the selection lever (56) is driven in the same direction. After a rotation of a predetermined angle, greater than two turns of the platen, the direction of rotation is reversed. The lever (56) follows one of the tracks (73 to 75) to activate one of the removal control parts (76 to 78) and to start the removal and introduction process.

Abstract: A compound bow includes a single, integrated cam assembly supported by the bow handle and having separate, adjacent cam elements receiving string cable segments and power cable segments from the bow limb tips. All the cam elements are fixedly disposed relative one another and are mounted for arcuate displacement as a unit. The plurality of cam elements and attendant bow structure are disposed in a manner resulting in shortened limb tip travel for a given bowstring displacement. The draw length of the bow is readily altered without dismantling the bow cable components and without any tools by removing and relocating end portions of the power cables in selected ones of a plurality of retainer pockets in the cable assembly and further draw length modification is obtainable, without changing the bow peak draw weight, through interchangable power cable cams.

Abstract: A compound bow is provided with a hanger assembly for attaching wheels or cams and power cables to both bow limb tips and includes a pair of hanger members removably engageable with the distal portions of two split limb portions on each bow limb without the need for separate fastener members. A pair of side walls on each hanger member provide four laterally spaced apart points supporting a transverse axle adjacent each limb tip on the belly side of the limb. The axles in turn support the wheels or cams and respective ends of the power cables with the tension applied by the strung cables providing the sole force retaining each hanger assembly in place.

Abstract: Arrowhead capable of being converted, by interchange of head elements, from an archery head to any selected one of various types of hunting heads. Comprises an elongated main body having an axially extending space and a plurality of longitudinal slots, both the slots and the axially extending space opening through the same end of the body, the slots also opening laterally both outwardly and into the axially extending space so that a blade assembly can be inserted into the main body via the slots and the axially extending space. The body also includes a stop surface, which may be a blind end of the axially extending space or a blind end of each slot or both, against which the blade assembly is clamped axially by a closure member which is releasably secured to the end of the main body through which the slots open.

Abstract: A portable hair drying apparatus has a tubular body (60) with an air inlet at one end also containing an electric motor driving impeller (73) and powered by rechargeable cells (74). The air flows over a gas burner assembly (61) fed with gas from a liquid gas container (78) via valve means (69). The container (78) may be recharged through valve (69) or detached at a coupling joint (79) and replaced. The gas burner (61) may comprise a tube surrounded by a catalyst impregnated fibre forming a flameless catalytic gas burner. The gas burner may be separated from direct contact with the air flow by means of a heat pump, one end of which is heated by the burner with the other end being located in the air flow.

Abstract: A heel binding for ski boots cooperates with a boot heel plate for use in either alpine or cross-country skiing and includes a pivot member displaceable between locked and unlocked positions. In the locked position, during alpine skiing a forward shoulder on the pivot member engages the heel plate and resists upward thrust of the boot heel according to a selective biasing force as provided by a yieldable latch member engaging a first detent on a cam section of the pivot member. In the alternate unlocked position, for cross-country skiing, the pivot member is retained clear of the heel plate by engagement of the same latch member within a second detent on the pivot member cam section. The forward portion of the binding is constructed to engage within a mating recess in the heel plate and/or boot heel on each downward motion of the heel so as to guide the skier's foot into proper axial alignment with the ski.

Abstract: A tool, such as the torque wrench shown, has a fixed tube 2 and rotatable coaxial handle 9 which serves to move nut 5 longitudinally by means of screw 6, thus adjusting the compression of spring 4. The torque value is indicated by a scale 14 rotatable in housing 11 and viewable through window 13 which includes a cursor. The scale 14 is an extension of the dynamic spline 16 fixed to the tube 2 and wave generator comprising two flats 18, on the end 10 of handle 9, which press the splines into engagement at discrete locations. For every revolution of handle 9 the scale on member 14 will be moved a distance corresponding to one tooth pitch where the difference in the number of teeth 16 and 15 is one.

Abstract: A surveillance apparatus against theft or intrusion includes a box containing a detector reacting to an abnormal presence and operable to selectively activate a camera, a flash and/or an acoustic warning device. The open rear of the box is hingedly attached to a support plate affixed to a wall while flexible wires from the box components include a connector part removably attachable to a mating connector part on the support plate, the latter being supplied with a source of power. A backup source of power may be included in the box as well as cooperating lock components on the box and support plate.

Abstract: A pressable magazine latch for semiautomatic pistols adaptable for use by either right or left-handed persons includes a guide-tube anchored wihtin the pistol frame which contains a displaceable rigidly connected two-part latch member therewithin. A spring normally maintains the latch member engaged with the magazine and presents a latch member button projecting beyond one end face of the guide-tube. Despressing this button substantially flush with the adjacent guide-tube end wall releases the latch from the magazine while further axial displacement of the latch member allows subsequent disassembly of the two latch parts to permit re-assembly thereof in a reverse position within the guide-tube.

Abstract: A railway vehicle for urban use has at least one motorized truck and at least one non-motorized supporting truck. The supporting truck is provided with wheels of smaller diameter than the wheels of the motorized truck which enables a lowering of all of the floor area of the vehicle except the portion which lies above the motorized truck. This lowering of the floor permits the use of a single intermediate step to be utilized by passengers and expedites their entry into and exit from the vehicle.

Abstract: A ticket holder for shelving such as in supermarkets, comprises a front support surface with parallel channels to engage and retain the edges of a price ticket. The rear surface has an integral formation defining a hook which has a first pair of parallel edges which engage with a shelf rail, the edge having an opposed edge which with an edge of the surface defines a further pair of parallel edges to engage the ticket rail at a different angle. By inverting the holder and engaging the edges a third angular position of the surface is obtained.
