  • Patent number: 8326851
Abstract: A system, method, and computer-based logic flow for a web-enabled tool that allows simultaneous intelligent searching, knowledge management based problem solving, valuation, and modeling of intellectual property and scientific information are described herein. The system accesses databases of intellectual property and scientific information. Additionally, the computer-based logic flow utilizes valuation techniques based on the Black-Sholes Options Pricing model or discounted cash flow methods. The system receives user queries and simultaneously accesses intellectual property, scientific information, knowledge management based problem solving and valuation based algorithm databases. Pertinent information is then categorized, analyzed, disseminated and displayed. The system simultaneously displays intellectual property and valuation information in one model as well as non-intellectual property protected scientific information.

  • Patent number: 7753616
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and permanent pavement marker for coating or bonding or both coating and bonding a first underlying substrate, wherein a second layer comprises a polyurea epoxy curable composition of about 200 centipoise which is bonded to the first underlying substrate, wherein the curable composition second layer is further bonded to a third layer, wherein the third layer comprises an epoxy bonder paste in a range of 10,000 to 300,000 centipoise, and the third layer is further bonded to a fourth layer, wherein the fourth layer is a preformed thermoplastic marking tile that is applied over the third layer of epoxy bonder paste, thereby forming a the permanent pavement marking. The system and pavement marker may also include a thermoplastic adhesive applied between the epoxy bonder paste and the preformed thermoplastic marking tile such that the bonder paste acts as a water vapor barrier reducing the rate of water vapor transmission into the marking tile.

  • Patent number: 7506651
Abstract: A customizable and reusable mouthpiece for diving use having a passageway-forming front member extending from a proximal in-mouth end to a distal outside end and a U-shaped formable back member is described. The back member provides a hollow cavity portion located in the bitewing section that may be partially filled with a gel-like or other suitable substance configured to provide custom moldability at substantially all points of contact between the mouthpiece and the teeth such that the mouthpiece is securely gripped by the teeth. The mouthpiece requires pressure relief channels so that air or fluids may enter into and be forced out of the hollow cavity providing a bellows-like action that provides a means for the bitewing and materials of composition to return to essentially its original shape. Reusability of the mouthpiece, more specifically the bitewings is directly related to the choice and combination of materials, dimensioning and processing.
