  • Patent number: 5322377
Abstract: A printing device which employs a platen frame mounted on a resin or plastic base frame with a pivoting joint and a rocker spring which biases the frames together which creates a floating platen frame. A main guide shaft is mounted on the base frame and supports a print head. A clearance member fixed to the platen frame extends toward the main guide shaft and is pressed against a clearance adjustment member attached to at least one end of the main guide shaft. The clearance adjustment member allows adjustment of the platen gap while the clearance member and bias spring automatically adjust the paten gap under various printing conditions. Using this gap fixing device, the platen gap can be maintained constant even if the frame expands due to heat, thus facilitating the use of resin frames. At the same time, by using a floating platen frame and positioning a feed motor and other components on the platen frame, noise and vibrations are decreased.

  • Patent number: 5313367
Abstract: Actualized are fingers through which a semiconductor integrated circuit including high density electrode strings can be easily safely mounted on a circuit substrate in the same manner with the prior art. A conductor pattern capable of improving a packaging density of the integrated circuit including the fingers is actualized. The fingers are therefore configured using the multi-layered conductor pattern. The conductor pattern is multi-layered, i.e., consists of conductive layers and an insulating layer for separating these conductive layers. In addition to a wiring pattern serving as fingers for connecting an integrated circuit to a packaging substrate, an electrification path for interlayer connections is also formed in a thickness direction. The circuit substrate exhibiting a high packaging density can be actualized.

  • Patent number: 5313248
Abstract: An image formation apparatus is provided having a continuous form photosensitive member positioned to move along a pre-defined transfer path. An image is exposed on to a portion of the photosensitive member along the transfer path. A heat developer heats the exposed image portion and intercepts the heat to an unexposed portion of the photosensitive member. The heat developer has a cylindrical housing having a heated portion arranged along a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical housing and a heating element in surface contact with and for heating exposed portions of the photosensitive member. The cylindrical housing also has an unheated portion arranged along the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical housing and separated from the heated portion by a thermally insulative material.

  • Patent number: 5304835
Abstract: A semiconductor device comprising a memory cell matrix array wherein transistors formed on the outer edge of the memory cell matrix array are inferior in performance compared to the transistors comprising the operating memory cell matrix array because their transistor active regions shrink during semiconductor device fabrication. To avoid this problem, a dummy region is formed around the operating memory cell matrix array. The dummy region contains impurity regions formed at substantially the same density as the transistors comprising the operating memory cell matrix array. Thus, the transistors located on the outer edge of the operating memory cell matrix array function in the same manner as transistors formed within the operating memory cell matrix array. As a result, all the transistors of the operating memory cell matrix array have uniform performance.

  • Patent number: 5302919
Abstract: The voltage-controlled oscillator in a phase-locked loop comprises a voltage-current converter (62) and a current frequency converter (34). The voltage-current converter (62) comprises a voltage differential-current converter (64), a current-current converter (66) and a current adder-subtracter (68). In the voltage differential-current converter (64), only the voltage fluctuation or difference .DELTA.V.sub.CN with respect to one-half a power supply voltage V.sub.DD /2, and not the absolute value of a control voltage V.sub.CN, undergoes current conversion as a control current I.sub.CN. Therefore, the center frequency of the oscillation frequency is not a factor of control voltage V.sub.CN and is controlled only by an offset voltage V.sub.B2. Accordingly, the center frequency can be independently set by changing offset voltage V.sub.B2. This is particularly significant in zone bit recording, which requires a wide frequency band.

  • Patent number: 5283611
Abstract: An image formation device photocopying system that transports a film type medium (100) along a passageway (6) such that it encounters the image exposure assembly (4), developer assembly (7), and transfer pressure assembly (8) sequentially from supply cartridge (5), and forms a latent image on medium (100) by exposing an image on it in the image exposure assembly (4), after which it heat develops the latent image in developer assembly (7) and transfers the developed image (100) to the transfer medium (102) in the transfer pressure assembly (8). A tensioning means (26) that applies tension to medium (100) being transported in passageway (6) on the upstream end or in supply cartridge (5).
