Patent number: 7866942Abstract: This invention relates to a Dry Running Flexible Impeller Pump and Method of Manufacture that is specifically designed to provide a flexible impeller pump that is capable of being run dry for extended periods of time without damaging the impeller. The pump's housing and end plates are coated with a low friction industrial coating to limit the heat of friction created by the flexible impeller while in use. Additionally the flexible impeller is cast from a pre-molding silicone substrate that contains no mold release and is cast in a mold that is treated with a low friction industrial coating and is cast without mold release. Once the flexible impeller is removed from the mold it is cleaned with alcohol, baked in a vacuum at a temperature of at least 100° C., and then coated with a Paralene N coating by vacuum deposition.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2007Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Inventor: Mark R. Patent number: 6634547Abstract: A new, novel and useful folding cup that fits into a cup holder. The cup is designed to fit into an array of cup holders such as the cup holders that are often built into modern motor vehicles in an arm rest or dash of such an automobile. The cup may be made from paperboard as a paperboard blank or any other suitable material that may be formed into a collapsible or expandable configuration wherein the bottom panels form a generally circular shape which may include a polygonal configuration. When the cup is in the folded condition, the cup is in a generally flat condition for economy of storage and shipping. By squeezing opposite edges of the flat structure the cup expands such that its bottom takes on its generally circular shape which may include a polygonal configuration and the top opens to accept whatever substance will be placed in the cup. This new, novel and useful folding cup that fits in a cup holder may be used as a container for french fries, chicken pieces or bread sticks, etc.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2001Date of Patent: October 21, 2003Inventor: Thomas Willis

Patent number: 6301793Abstract: An equatorial sundial apparatus with an adjustable base assembly utilizing one or more concave cylindrical focusing mirrors. One of the benefits that is derived from this apparatus is the use of one or more concave cylindrical mirrors to project a focused beam of light onto a calibrated surface from which the time can be read. This sundial has the additional benefit of not suffering from blurring of the time indicator in a shadow or non-focused beam of light typical of other sundials. This sundial's focused light forms a sharply demarcated indicator from which time can be read to the minute. A further benefit of this apparatus is the ability to incorporate multiple concave cylindrical focusing mirrors to reduce the size of the visual field or screen where the time is read and to incorporate various shapes and designs for ornamental purposes without significant compromise of the sundials accuracy for telling time.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1999Date of Patent: October 16, 2001Inventors: William Gottesman, Karsten H.
