  • Patent number: 4083955
Abstract: Two compositions containing respectively a cation and an anion, such as calcium ion and phosphate ion, are sequentially applied to dental enamel resulting in remineralization of subsurface dental enamel.

  • Patent number: 4080440
Abstract: Demineralized tooth enamel is remineralized by first forming a metastable mixture by mixing a solution containing a soluble calcium salt with a solution containing a soluble phosphate salt, the mixture having a pH of from about 2.5 to about 4 and a ratio of calcium ions to phosphate ions of from 0.01 to 100; and second, applying the metastable mixture to the tooth surface. Preferably, the second solution contains a soluble fluoride salt and the metastable mixture has a pH of about 2.7.

  • Patent number: 4045015
Abstract: A rotary feeder for paperboard blanks includes suction means, partially relieved feed wheels and a transmission with input and output shafts operatively connected so that the output shaft undergoes a controlled acceleration during an initial portion of each revolution of the input shaft and is stationary during a last portion of each revolution of the input shaft, whereby the wheels engage and grip a blank by means of static friction and move and accelerate that blank to the nip rolls without slippage occurring and so that each blank enters the nip rolls in register.

  • Patent number: 4004653
Abstract: An assembly is shown, which provides a framework that fits in an excavation such as a grave, including two side frames that exert considerable horizontal pressure against two end frames by means of eight horizontal adjustable screws and integral bearing means to produce a rigid frame adapted for carrying heavy surface loads for example, machinery for lowering a casket into the grave and providing a support for a platform for mourners adjacent to the grave for those wishing to approach closely to the graveside. The load on the rigid frame and including any load from the platform supported on the frame is transmitted to bearing pads supported on the floor of the excavation to eliminate, insofar as possible, injury, and/or embarrassment caused by the caving in of the walls of the excavation while at the same time making it possible to provide a much neater appearing gravesite than would be attainable without the framework.

  • Patent number: 3987915
Abstract: A tire storage and retrieval structure is shown together with a method of operation. Tires are stored in a rack or bin in a series, to roll by gravity down an inclined chute or ramp means and the series of tires is circulated from the exit on the ramp to the infeed end with power lifting means until the particular tire to be removed from the series comes to the lower or exit end of the ramp. A record keeping means is described for keeping an ongoing record of the tires being rotated and their respective positions in the series stored on the ramp. A plurality of such ramp means and coordinating servicing equipment is provided.
