Abstract: An electrical power generator is provided which is a direct drive induction generator capable of being directly connected to the power grid for the creation of electrical power. The rotor of the induction generator is located along the outside periphery of the stator and the stator may be provided with a plurality of poles. The number of poles provided on the stator may be adjusted to obtain an optimal rotational speed required to generate power. Using this arrangement, a low cost, efficient, reliable and easy to build wind generator may be provided.

Abstract: A make-up case configured to hold a variety of cosmetic items is disclosed. The make-up case comprises a plurality of internal compartments for the storage of various predetermined cosmetic items such as for example a full size lipstick, an eye liner pencil, a lip liner pencil, a pencil sharpener, etc. In addition, a pair of cosmetic cover assemblies are provided which accept a replaceable tray of cosmetic material such as face powder, blush and eyeliner make-up.

Abstract: A spring-loaded bobbin for use in tying fly fishing lures has a simple frame carrying a support mechanism having a centered bearing by which an off-the-shelf spool of tying thread is rotatably mounted. The frame carries a thread guide tube that is centered on and extends at rightangles to the spool axis, to receive and deliver the thread. The spool support mechanism includes a coil spring that is tensioned upon the withdrawal of thread from off the spool, so that, on release of the thread by the user, the spool is reverse wound by the tensioned spring, to take up the slack in the thread.

Abstract: A nozzle assembly for use in injection molding comprises a pair of spacers acting between the manifold and either a cover plate or a hot runner plate of an injection molding machine to apply a contact pressure between the nozzle body melt channel and the manifold melt channel to achieve a seal therebetween. The resilience of the spacers result in an increased operational temperature range for the nozzle assembly, the contact pressure being generated and/or maintained over the range of the operational temperatures. An additional advantage is provided in that the nozzle assembly is compact and can be closely spaced with similar nozzle assemblies to achieve center spacings as small as eight millimetres. The assemblies can be mounted and/or removed from the cavity of the manifold plate, and/or changing of the nozzle heater elements, without requiring removal of the mold from the injection mold machine.

Abstract: A novel enclosure for power electrical components is presented. A generally parallelepiped enclosure has an access cover therefore and a substantially planar plate slidably inserted therein, with the plate mounting a heat generating power electrical component thereon. Top and bottom cable raceways are also provided in the enclosure.
