    Abstract: A valve actuating mechanism for an internal combustion engine that permits the use of a plurality of valves per combustion chamber. There are a greater number of intake valves than exhaust valves and the intake valves are actuated by means of a single rocker arm associated with a first cam shaft. The exhaust valves are individually and directly operated by a second camshaft.
