Abstract: A toothpaste dispensing toothbrush includes a handle, a brush head section, and a plunger assembly passed through a proximal opening of the handle and rotatably interfitted within a threaded axial bore. A body of toothpaste is attached to the plunger assembly wherein a leading portion of the toothpaste body is linearly ingressed into the brush head section when the plunger assembly is rotated along a first arcuate direction defined about a centrally oriented longitudinal axis of the threaded axial bore. In this manner, a trailing portion of the toothpaste body is retracted from the outlet and returned upstream along the brush head section when the plunger assembly is rotated along a second arcuate direction defined about the centrally oriented longitudinal axis. The first arcuate direction is opposite to the first arcuate direction so that the plunger assembly can be rotated in clockwise and counter directions respectively.

Abstract: A brush assembly releases a fluid and/or liquid solution directly onto a surface, such as a coat of an animal during grooming, or onto inanimate surfaces such as vehicles. The brush assembly includes a molded brush having a plurality of apertures integrated therein for delivery of a fluid. At least one base plate with grooming implementations, such as bristles or a sponge, is interchangeably attached to the brush base. An ergonomical handle is provided having a palm conforming top and finger indentation sides constructed to form an internal cavity. The ergonomical handle is ambidextrous in nature for interchangeable left and right handedness. A center cylinder is located within said internal cavity of said ergonomical handle and includes a bladder which aligns with the mid portion of the brush base for fluid delivery controlled upstream by a flow regulator. An optional mixing chamber housing a water soluble compound containing active ingredients may be attached to the flow regulator to form a liquid solution.

Abstract: A scent emitting patch remains securely attached to the skin of a wearer and is appointed for controlled release of scents. The patch is constructed having an external top layer and backing layer with a skin-contacting portion. The skin-contacting segment contains an adhesive. At least one reservoir comprising pockets or microcapsules containing a scent is disposed in at least one portion of the backing layer. These pockets or microcapsules are operative to rupture upon application of pressure or scratching by the patch wearer. Upon rupture, scent is delivered to the skin to emit aroma. Pockets containing the scent are formed in the backing layer. Microcapsules, if present, are preferably incorporated in the adhesive. A plethora of aromas are provided in the form of a perfume or cologne and correlating shapes can be used to form the patch. Scent is released at the skin-contact interface when pressure is applied ruptures the pockets or microcapsules, permitting controlled release at the wearer's election.

Abstract: The present invention provides a portable water bottle and dish assembly and method for humans and pets to provide a human or pet with a readily accessible water bottle integrally attached to a delivery dish. The portable water bottle and dish assembly broadly comprises a bottle having a top portion and a body portion with an outer shell and an internal chamber that is removably attached and housed within a delivery dish. The delivery dish is configured in size and shape to provide access to a pet or human for drinking therefrom. Optionally, the bottle comprises an insulating internal chamber adapted to insulate the liquid housed therein, keeping the liquid at a constant temperature for a period of time. Alternatively, the delivery dish comprises an insulating interior compartment adapted to insulate the liquid when the bottle is within the interior compartment of the delivery dish.

Abstract: An earpiece/wire organizer houses and maintains wires in an untangled manner. The earpiece/wire organizer has a sleeve constructed with mating spine pieces having an interlocking self-adhering surface coat thereon, wherein the sleeve houses wires therein. Simply scrunching or compressing the sleeve with a single hand motion engages the interlocking self-adhering surface of the mating spine pieces in an attached configuration and compresses the sleeve and wire housed therein. When the user desires to lengthen or elongate the wire, the user simply pulls or elongates the sleeve with a single hand motion that disengages the interlocking self-adhering surface of the mating spine pieces and lengthens the sleeve and wire housed therein. Where more than one sleeve is provided, the sleeves are further constructed to releasably connect to one another.

Abstract: A wearable lightweight fire fighter's personal escape system and method includes a rope, having a distal and proximal end, packed within an exterior rope pouch that is appointed to be removably attached to a belt or harness, worn by a fire fighter. The proximal end of the rope exits through an opening in the exterior/outer rope pouch and is attached directly to a lightweight hook, or optionally enters a belay device. The hook has a sharp point for creating a purchase point on soft surfaces, a hook opening having sufficient diameter to surround radiators, steam pipe and the like, and capture rope that surrounds substantial objects. The hook has a central opening appointed for holding a firefighting tool to aid in creating a substantial object. The fire fighter escapes by creating a purchase point and repelling at a high speed or at a controlled speed by adjusting belay friction.

Abstract: A compression and torsion damping wheel suspension system is useful for damping compressive and torsional shock encountered by freewheeling front caster wheels of a professional landscape lawn mower. The freewheeling caster wheels are mounted with an offset from a vertical pivot axis attached to the lawn mower frame. The compression and torsion damping wheel suspension system comprises two tubes one having internal extending projections and the other having external extending projections The smaller tube is turned within the larger tube, leaving behind several spaces within which are contained four elastomeric elements. When the caster wheel rides over a rock or bump, the elastomeric elements are compressed, damping compression shock. Caster wheel resistance is felt; the elastomeric elements experience torsion and are damped, providing a smooth ride for the operator.

Abstract: A flexible abrasion resistant water shedding omnidirectionally reflective rope has a central low-density polymeric closed cell foam core comprising EPDM, Neoprene, SBR, NBR, EVA, PVC, PVC/NBR foam surrounded by cylindrically braided sleeve of reflective strips composed of narrow width reflective strips that comprise a woven or knitted narrow width strip and a flexible nylon retroreflective sheet sewn thereon and covered with abrasion resistant water shedding coating. The flexible retroreflective sheet is formed by thermally bonding corner cube, microsphere retroreflectors, or wide angle exposed retroreflective lenses to a flexible polymeric sheet. Due to its low-density foam core construction, the reflective rope floats on water and sheds water from the surface preserving omnidirectional reflectivity.

Abstract: A pet boot having therapeutic properties is worn on a pet's injured or sensitive paw to facilitate healing and or provide protection. The therapeutic pet boot includes an external boot member having a shaft and a paw portion constructed to form a cavity integrated therein appointed to receive an injured paw of a pet. The therapeutic pet boot further includes an internal therapeutic member appointed to be received within the cavity of the external boot member and is appointed to intimately contact the injured paw. The therapeutic pet boot is appointed to be worn on the injured paw of the pet to facilitate healing. The internal therapeutic member may comprise a gel bootee having a massaging gel sole or may comprise a gel inner layer or gel insole. Advantageously, the internal therapeutic member may directly deliver medicament to the paw and/or provide cold treatment or hot treatment therapies to the paw, while providing cushioning, shock absorption and protection from dirt and debris.

Abstract: A lightweight, portable article for precise application of makeup is placed upon a user's eyelid skin, preferably the bottom eyelid skin, adjacent to the eyelashes. With this placement, a user can readily apply mascara and/or eyeliner without contacting the delicate eyelid skin. The article has a handle portion and an arcuate top portion. The arcuate top portion includes an applicator rim with rounded lateral edges and an arced central section, both of which are covered with the rubber guard. The rubber guard contiguously traverses the entire surface area of the applicator rim, resulting in a device yielding a high degree of safety. The article is formed of a smooth polymeric or metal material. It is compact, easily cleaned and enables application of mascara in a safe, hygienic manner.

Abstract: An article, including pet collars and leashes, belts, bags and backpacks, has an interchangeable attachment. The article comprises a proximal end, distal end and a central section having at least one connection mechanism appointed to receive the interchangeable attachment. The interchangeable attachment includes a top wall having a show surface and a back wall having a securing member adapted to engage with the connection mechanism of the article for removably attaching the interchangeable attachment to the article. In one embodiment the interchangeable attachments are provided as button-type attachments. In another embodiment, the interchangeable attachment is provided as an elongated attachment portion appointed to substantially cover the central section of the article. The interchangeable attachments have a plethora of designs and may include LED, fiber optic and/or reflective properties to provide aesthetic appeal, enhanced visibility, and increased safety for pedestrians during nighttime or dusk hours.

Abstract: A clock and data recovery circuit and method are used in a digital data communications system. The circuit and method are effectively employed for high speed, burst-mode transmission and allow rapid recovery of the clock and data signals without the need for an extended header, and notwithstanding the presence of substantial timing jitter. The method adaptively selects from among three delay times for the extraction of data by identifying a frequently recurring incoming pattern in the incoming data. The delay time is selected in a manner that insures that the same pattern is present in the reconstructed, resynchronized output data.
