  • Patent number: 6236808
Abstract: In a facial sauna, a reservoir configuration is provided in a housing, comprising a water heating reservoir and a foam retrieval reservoir. A heating device for heating water is provided adjacent an outer region of a reservoir wall of the water heating reservoir. The reservoir configuration consists of at least two reservoir parts which are detachably connected to one another and which are separable from one another. The heating device is being provided at only one reservoir part adjacent the outer region of a reservoir wall. An inner region of the one reservoir wall of the reservoir part whose outer region lies adjacent the heating device is freely accessible when the reservoir parts are separated from one another.

  • Patent number: 6232193
Abstract: An integrated injection logic device is provided in which each collector of an I2L gate is isolated by a field oxide (“FOX”), or by other suitable isolation such as, for example, an isolation trench. The connection of the base to the collectors, between the base contact region and the bottom of the collectors, is made underneath the field oxide using a buried p type layer (TN3 in the Figures illustrating the invention). Because both silicide and heavy implant p+ implant is present at the base contact point only, the recombination current is reduced. This reduces the current loss when compared to the current loss of the known device. Additionally, current gain is also improved by placing a deep base implant close to the emitter of the upside own NPN transistor in the integrated logic device. The area of the base and the area of the collectors is decoupled, i.e.

  • Patent number: 6226830
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner is provided that is adapted to detect and display and/or avoid obstacles. In such vacuum cleaners the driving wheels and/or castor wheels that determine the direction of travel may be actively controlled to achieve, at the point in time of obstacle touch or obstacle sensing, a resultant velocity away from obstacles in the path of the cleaning apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6223652
Abstract: The invention relates to a kitchen appliance comprising a container and a housing accommodating an electric motor. The container comprises a bottom, a removable lid, and a bearing for supporting a tool which is drivable in the container by the motor. A filter can be placed in the container around the tool and can be filled with ingredients such as fruits or vegetables. After activation of the tool, liquids and juices are obtained from these ingredients which pass through strainer openings of the filter. According to the invention, the filter is held in a fixed position in the container during operation in that the filter is locked in between the bottom and the lid of the container. In a first embodiment of the kitchen appliance, the filter is locked in between the bottom and the lid of the container in that the filter has a length which substantially corresponds to a distance between the bottom and the lid of the container.

  • Patent number: 6222712
Abstract: In a device means having connections means for applying a direct voltage (DCV) and having an undervoltage detection circuit (31), a control voltage (CV) having two different direct voltage values (V5, V6) can be applied via the connection elements (2) and the undervoltage detection circuits (3) can generate a detection signal (DS) which alternates between two different voltage values (V1, V2) similarly to the two direct voltage values (V5, V6). A transition detector (58) is part of a processor (16) , The transaction detectr is means are adapted to detect transitions (TR) between the two values (V1, V2) of the detection signal and by which at least one given program sequence can be started in the processor upon the detection of such transitions.

  • Patent number: 6214200
Abstract: In a method for electrochemical machining, the working distance is set by contacting the workpiece with the electrode, increasing the distance between the workpiece and the electrode by a first distance, detecting whether the contact between the electrode and the workpiece is broken, and further increasing the distance between the workpiece and the electrode by a second distance. Owing to this method, very small working distances can be set with a limited risk of short-circuiting and flash-over.

  • Patent number: 6210148
Abstract: An injection-molding apparatus comprises a mold (3) having a first and a second mold section (5, 7). A bounding surface (13) of the second mold section (7) is in contact with a base (19) of the injection-molding apparatus. A movable punch (81) for severing a sprue slug from the product and an ejector for ejecting the sprue slug from the punch have been provided in the second mold section. The injection-molding apparatus further comprises an arrangement (93, 99) for moving the punch and the ejector. This arrangement is externally of the mold inside the base. As a result of this, the mold can be of compact construction and no connection lines for moving the punch and the ejector are required, so that the mold can be removed rapidly from the injection-molding apparatus. The punch (81) and the ejector (91) have been divided at the location of the bounding surface (113).
