    Abstract: An automatic centering method for a video camera having a plurality of pick-up tubes and a deflection control circuit for each of the plurality of pick-up tubes is disclosed, which includes the steps of comparing outputs of two pick-up tubes of the plurality of pick-up tubes to thereby generate an error signal, processing the error signal to thereby generate a control signal, supplying the control signal to the deflection control circuit for one of the two pick-up tubes, storing the control signal in a memory, changing the control signal supplied to the deflection control circuit by a predetermined amount, repeating the above-described first to third steps, comparing the control signal generated in the sixth step and the control signal in the memory with each other to thereby generate an error flag signal when the above two control signals do not coincide with each other and indicating the error flag signal.

    Abstract: A double-layer coil for an electric motor is formed of a single continuous conductor with the two layers being wound simultaneously. A first length of conductor is wound about a pulley to form a coil and at the end of that coil but without breaking the conductor another coil is commenced to be wound about a rotating bobbin, with the coil of the first length wound on the pulley being caused to orbit the bobbin at a rate twice the bobbin rotation speed, whereby the conductor coil is unwound from the pulley and rewound on the bobbin at and the same time a further conductor is being wound about the bobbin to form a second coil, thereby forming both layers of the coil simultaneously.

    Abstract: In a channel selecting apparatus for a television receiver having an electronic tuning tuner for changing the receiving frequency in accordance with an analog control signal applied thereto; a memory has a plurality of addresses for storing respective digital codes each identifying a respective channel and which are selectively activated so as to effect read out of the respective channel identifying digital code to a digital-to-analog converter which converts the same into a respective analog control signal for the tuner. A deviation of the receiving frequency, as established in response to the analog control signal, from the correct receiving frequency for the channel identified by the digital code then being read out of the memory is detected, and, in response to a detected deviation within a pull-in range of an automatic fine tuning (AFT) circuit, the latter changes the digital code applied to the converter in the sense for removing such deviation and thereby achieving the correct tuned condition.
