Patent number: 7883533Abstract: A device and method for increasing the number and type of ions in a hydrotherapy treatment to assist in removing unwanted chemicals from the body. A battery-powered array is submerged into a liquid foot bath to generate ions through electrolysis. The array has at least two electrodes, one containing copper and/or zinc, the other steel. The device can be run in two modes, thereby creating different types of ions and enabling the removal of different types of chemicals. The device uses a current and voltage regulator to deliver a regulated amount of current into the array regardless of the conductivity of the liquid, and electrical circuitry is used to control the duration and mode of the treatment. Excessive heat is dissipated with a heat sink.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2008Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignee: Erchonia CorporationInventor: Kevin B Tucek

Patent number: 7885708Abstract: A device for iontophoresis. A first battery-powered array is submerged into a liquid contained in a first reservoir and a second battery-powered array is submerged into a liquid contained in a second reservoir. Each array has one or more degradable electrodes that releases ions into the liquid in the reservoir. The electrodes can be copper, zinc, steel, nickel, or a combination thereof. At the first array one of the electrodes can be positively charged while at the second array one of the electrodes can be negatively charged. Alternatively, an electrode at the second array can be positively charged while an electrode at the first array is negatively charged. The solution in the reservoir may also contain positively or negatively charged ions. Powering the arrays causes the charged molecules contained in the liquid to transport through a patient's skin.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2007Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignee: Erchonia CorporationInventors: Steven C Shanks, Kevin B Tucek

Patent number: 7800554Abstract: The present invention is a varying angle antenna design to be used with an electromagnetic radiation dissipation device that reduces exposure to undesirable electromagnetic radiation. The dissipation device uses a varying angle antenna to capture radiation from an active emission source, such as a cellular telephone when it is transmitting. The device converts the captured radiation into an electric current and dissipates the collected current by spending it to operate a thermal, mechanical, or electrical device. The varying angle antenna is a printed circuit board trace antenna comprising a microstrip having several serially connected meandering segments. One or more meandering segments include 90-degree bends in the microstrip, and one or more meandering segments include bends of more and less than 90 degrees. Portions of the microstrip that are horizontally oriented are all parallel, while portions of the microstrip that are vertically oriented can be parallel or angled, depending on the bend angle.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2008Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: Erchonia CorporationInventors: Kevin B. Patent number: 7798061Abstract: A portable airbrush with improved mechanisms for aerosolizing paint and for facilitating stenciling. The device utilizes an air compressor that is compact, portable and relatively lightweight. The air compressor is housed in a base that has projections to hold stencils in positions that make it easier for a person to spray his or her own nails. The stencils are removably attached to the projections with stencil fasteners. The mechanism for aerosolizing the paint arranges an air-emitting nozzle, a paint-emitting needle, and its attached paint reservoir in such a way that when the nozzle and paint reservoir are removed from the wand, substantially no residual paint remains in the wand. The air compressor may be battery-powered or powered by house current, and the device may be packaged in a case with numerous stencils and refillable bottles of paint.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2004Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Inventor: Carolin Dilou

Patent number: 7665442Abstract: A throttle plate for use with internal combustion engines comprised of a relatively thin piece of material so that installation of the throttle plate between the carburetor or throttle body and intake manifold of a vehicle does not require additional brackets or components to correct throttle cable linkage length or geometry. The throttle plate comprises a plate having apertures to accommodate pre-existing connectors and a perimeter that corresponds to connections between, and the geometry of, the carburetor or throttle body and intake manifold. The plate fits between the carburetor or throttle body and intake manifold and defines at least one airflow hole corresponding to the airflow path in the carburetor or throttle body. If there are multiple airflow paths between the carburetor or throttle body and intake manifold, then there will be multiple airflow holes. One or more vanes integral with the plate extend radially from the perimeter of each airflow hole toward its center.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2009Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignee: Everaid Holdings, Inc.Inventors: John Levitz, Sam Enloe

Patent number: 7653544Abstract: The present invention is a server-side method and apparatus that enables visually-impaired users to navigate websites and hear high-quality streaming audio of narration and descriptions of each website. The system involves creating an audible website corresponding to an original website by utilizing voice talent to read and describe web content and create audio files for each section within an original website, then assigning a hierarchy and navigation system based on the original website design. To implement the system, a small program is installed on the home page of an original website which plays a tone upon a user's visit indicating that the website is accessible with the present invention. Upon hearing the tone, a user presses a key on the keyboard to exit the original website and enter the audible website. Audible narration is played through the user's computer, reading text and describing non-text information.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2003Date of Patent: January 26, 2010Assignee: AudioEye, Inc.Inventors: Nathan T. Patent number: 7609855Abstract: A process of video capture, segmentation, tracking, and mapping to obtain position and time data for motion analysis. The moving object is captured in video in a series of frames at a known frame rate. The moving object is isolated from all other data in a frame and the position of the moving object is determined relative to stationary reference elements in the frame. However, the video captures a physical, three-dimensional space, in a two-dimensional image, causing distortions. This method associates all points in the quadrilateral with a rectangle defined by sides in real, physical space using a vanishing point algorithm. The preferred vanishing point algorithm maps a physical space to a quadrilateral defined by two sides that intersect at a first vanishing point, and two other sides that intersect at a second vanishing point. Single-point or three-point perspective may also be employed.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2005Date of Patent: October 27, 2009Assignee: Object Prediction Technologies, LLCInventors: Jason Sada, Ping-Sing Tsai, Todd Meijome

Patent number: 7484938Abstract: An electronic pool pump timer that controls the run time or the pump for a period of time each day depending on the date. In the preferred embodiment, the user enters the historical daily maximum and minimum pump run times for the specific pool and the system calculates the required time the pump will run on a given day. The customized run time is thus calculated as a function of the date and the minimum and maximum run times for a given pool. The system then self-adjusts the run time each day as necessary. The device comprises a data input means, a display, memory, and a controller. It may also include a manual override to allow the user to turn the pump on at any time. The device is connected to the pump motor. The device is connected to a power supply and may also include a battery back-up in the event of a power outage. To prevent the pool from freezing. the system may also include an air temperature sensor that triggers pump operation when the ambient air is below a given temperature.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2005Date of Patent: February 3, 2009Inventor: Stephen D Allen
