  • Patent number: 8147581
Abstract: A separation housing houses a rotor with multiple suspension chambers. Each chamber has a radially extending web portion between two rotating discs. An orifice is provided through the radially extending web portion. Another web portion urges gas radially out of the rotor. Passages through the rotating disks permit entry of gas and solid particle mixtures into the suspension chambers at high speed traveling toward each other in a suspension adjacent to the orifice. The web portion that urges gas out of the chamber pulls gas away from the suspension zone. Gas moving through the aperture and into a clean gas chamber pulls gas in the opposite direction. The result is gas in the suspension zone being fixed relative to the rotor or changing direction. Centrifugal force moves solid particles radially out of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 8047517
Abstract: An attachment for use with a clamp having a pair of jaws operable to clamp a workpiece therebetween, such attachment comprising a body member of such size as to be accommodated in a space between one of the jaws and the workpiece. The body member of the attachment has a first contact surface adapted to bear against a surface of the workpiece and a second, opposite contact surface adapted to bear against one of the jaws. The second contact surface is so configured as to enable the attachment body member to be substantially universally rockable relative to the jaw engaged by such attachment body member, thereby enabling the body member to occupy a position in engagement with and substantially parallel to that surface of the workpiece engaged by the attachment body member.

  • Patent number: 8042299
Abstract: The mole trap includes a base assembly and an upper movable frame. Two vertical guide rods are attached to the base assembly and pass through the bores through the upper movable frame. Springs urge the movable frame away from the base. Two U-shaped rods are attached to the movable frame and extend under the base. An upper horizontal pin is fixed to the movable frame. A lower horizontal pin is fixed to the base. A tension link connected to the upper pin. A recess in the link receives the lower pin and holds both springs in loaded condition. A bracket with a tension link recess is pivotally mounted on the lower pin. A tension link release surface on the bracket releases the tension link when a mole sensor pivots the bracket.

  • Patent number: 8025048
Abstract: The portable out door heater burns fuel such as propane from a pressurized gas fuel tank. The fuel enters an entrainment tube through a nozzle orifice that is coaxial with the cylindrical entrainment tube axis. Air enters the entrainment through air entry apertures and is entrained with the high velocity fuel stream. The air and fuel mixture passes from the entrainment tube into a coaxial cylindrical burner supply tube. The supply tube has a smaller diameter to accelerate movement of the air and fuel mixture. A cylindrical combustion chamber receives the air fuel mixture moving tangentially to the combustion chamber inside wall. A ring inside the chamber retards movement of the fuel charge. The fuel oxidizes at a temperature that reduces odors and converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. The products of combustion pass through a silencer and into an area to be heated. A choke and igniter initiate combustion.
