  • Patent number: 8302738
Abstract: A power train handler having a first inverted T-shaped stand and a second inverted T-shaped stand the height of each of which is preferably independently adjustable. A T-shaped support is slidably attached to the upper end of each inverted T-shaped stand. Either an inverted U-shaped tip plate is rotationally balanced on a T-shaped support or a slotted bar having rotationally mounted arms is attached to the T-shaped support. Preferably, wheels are attached to the bottom of the inverted T-shaped stands; and, preferably, the inverted T-shaped stands are releasably, slidably, and lockably connected to each other.

  • Patent number: 8245862
Abstract: An electrical box with recessed faceplate having a one-piece recessed faceplate (2) and adapted to accommodate a two-piece recessed faceplate (25). A rear portion (8) contains channels (9) on the top (5), bottom (6), and sides (7). A connecting wall (1503) attaches the rear portion (8) to the front portion (11). The connecting wall (1503) extends beyond the rear portion (8) and preferably contains one or more apertures (19, 20) to accommodate releasable fasteners such as screws (10). These apertures (19, 20) and the channels (9) assure that no screws (10) or analogous components or another type or releasable fastener are exposed within the box (1). The two-piece recessed faceplate (25) has an inner portion (45) and an outer portion (24) which slide along each other in order to enable the box (1) to be mounted at different distances from the mounting surface. Optionally, a removable cover (39) extends across the mouth (3) of the faceplate (2, 25).

  • Patent number: 8011520
Abstract: A storage rack having one or more clamps and one or more rails. Each clamp has two or more resilient arms attached at a first end to opposite ends of a rear section, such resilient arms having free ends which permit the introduction of an object between the resilient arms. In one embodiment, each resilient arm contains at least one aperture through which a rail proceeds. For at least one aperture, the portion of the resilient arm which forms the outer edge of the forward wall of the aperture touches a first side of the rail while the portion of the resilient arm which forms the inner edge of the rear wall of the aperture touches a second side of the rail. In another embodiment, a deformable extension proceeds to the rear from the rear section of the clamp and contains at least one channel through which a rail proceeds.

  • Patent number: 7807199
Abstract: An antimicrobial composition comprising metal particles that may be silver, copper, or gold together with a surfactant such as benzalkonium chloride in a liquid medium, which is preferably deionized water, that will not react with the other constituents of the antimicrobial composition. Preferably, the composition also comprises a source of iodine, such as poly(vinyl pyrrolidone)-iodine complex. And a substrate carrier having the same type of metal as the particles deposited onto it may also be introduced into the liquid medium. The metal particles are preferably nanoparticles but may be in the micron size, in the submicron size, or bulk particles.

  • Patent number: 7789207
Abstract: An improved stabilizer for the steering of a vehicle. The stabilizer comprises a housing containing one or more sector-shaped chambers with a wiper rotatably mounted in the housing. For each chamber a paddle extends from the rotor of the wiper into the chamber. The wiper moves sealingly past the housing. For each paddle a bypass channel allows fluid on one side of the paddle to move to the other side of the paddle. A valve in the bypass channel controls the degree of damping produced by the stabilizer. The valve has a control shaft in the center of the rotor, and on the shaft there is a continuous indentation around such shaft with there being no indentation in a first area of the shaft and then the indentation commencing and having an increasingly larger cross-sectional area as the indentation progress around the control shaft.

  • Patent number: 7640620
Abstract: A retractable hose extension for a vacuum having an expandable hose within a containment structure, a first coupling at the first end of the hose and in the first end of the containment structure for connecting the hose to a vacuum, a valve at the second end of the hose, and either a door or other releasable retention device for the hose. Preferably, the valve is an iris valve. Two fixed embodiment and one portable embodiment exist. The first fixed embodiment is inserted within a wall. The second fixed embodiment is rotatably attached to a tube contained within or running below a ceiling and extending from a vacuum system.

  • Patent number: 7510063
Abstract: A fluidic stablilizer with remote control having every portion of the circuit which connects the housing and the remote control valve within a range that will permit fluid placed in the circuit to flow freely at high speed but that will also create the fluid pressure necessary for effective damping. Furthermore, the cross-sectional area for every portion of the circuit is maintained within such range, preferably by constructing all portions of the circuit between the housing and the remote control valve with stainless steel braided line. And an attachment structure combined with a depression in the bottom of the rotatable wiper contained within the housing except with an aperture exposing the bottom of the rotatable wiper to the outside facilitates mounted the housing below the handlebars of a vehicle since the depression is constructed with such dimensions as to accommodate a stem nut at the top of a steering shaft.

  • Patent number: 7487948
Abstract: A support for a survey rod having a grip for slidable mounting on a survey rod with a first leg and a second leg rotably connected to such grip. Two spring rods each have a first end and a second end. A first end of the first spring is attached either directly to the survey rod below the grip of the support or to a collar that is connected to the survey rod below the grip of the support, and a second end of the first spring rod is connected, preferably rotatably, to the first leg. A first end of a second leg is attached in the same manner as the first end of the first leg to the survey rod, and a second end of the first leg is rotatably connected to the grip. Preferably, the first and second spring rods are resilient and rotatably mounted to the legs.

  • Patent number: 7465213
Abstract: A wild game call has a single inlet passage into which a user blows to generate sounds that simulate the natural sounds produced by the particular animal being called or attracted. The call includes a splitter that splits the single air inlet passage into a plurality of outlet passages. The sound either is generated in the single air passage or passes into the single air passage from the user and is directed into the plurality of outlet passages to produce the final output sound from the call. The plurality of outlet passages can be configured to produce subtle differences in the sound passing through a passage to provide a combination of sounds more closely simulating the natural animal sound than can be produced in only a single outlet passage. Various sound chamber can be added to the outlet passages to modify the sound emanating from that passage in a desired manner.

  • Patent number: 7401770
Abstract: A stabilizer for a vehicle with suspension springs having a rigid member with a face and back. An upper stop is on the face of the stabilizer near an upper aperture passing through the stabilizer from the face to the back, and a lower stop is on the face of the stabilizer near a lower aperture passing through the stabilizer from the face to the back. An upper L-shaped bolt is fastened in the upper aperture with the shorter leg of the bolt oriented toward the upper stop in order, together with the rigid member, to create a channel within which a first portion of a suspension spring is retained. A lower L-shaped bolt is similarly fastened in the lower aperture with the lower leg of the bolt oriented toward the lower stop to create a channel within which a first portion of the suspension spring is retained.
