Abstract: A system and methods for accessing 2D digital images and 3D geometric models over a network (preferably the Internet) and transforming and composing that media along with 2D digital image and 3D geometric model media, acquired by other means, into enhanced 2D image and 3D model representations for virtual reality visualization and simulation is disclosed. Digital images and models from a network and other sources are incorporated and manipulated through an interactive graphical user interface. A photogrammetric media processing engine automatically extracts virtual sensor (camera) and geometric models from imagery. Extracted information is used by a reconstruction processor to automatically and realistically compose images and models. A rendering system provides real-time visualization and simulation of the constructed media. A client-server processing model for deployment of the media processing engine system over a network is disclosed.

The adsorbent portion comprises several different adsorbent media, including zeolites, titanium dioxide (TiO2), alumina, carbon, micro- and/or nano-porous carbon, other minerals with a naturally occurring micro- and/or nano-porous structure, synthetic, including organic, substrates with a micro- and/or nano-porous structure, and surface-modified variations of the preceding adsorbents.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus is provided that is efficient in detecting network virus and worms while using only the layer-4 information that is easily extracted from core routers and also be scalable when layer-7 information is available. Entropy analysis is used to identify anomalous activity at the flow level. Thereafter, only the contents of suspicious flows are analyzed with fingerprinting extraction. By doing so, the present invention brings together the characteristics of being deployable for real-time high data to rate links and the efficiency and reliability of content fingerprinting techniques.
Abstract: Atomic layer epitaxy (ALE) is applied to the fabrication of new forms of rare-earth oxides, rare-earth nitrides and rare-earth phosphides. Further, ternary compounds composed of binary (rare-earth oxides, rare-earth nitrides and rare-earth phosphides) mixed with silicon and or germanium to form compound semiconductors of the formula RE-(O, N, P)β(Si,Ge) are also disclosed, where RE=at least one selection from group of rare-earth metals, O=oxygen, N=nitrogen, P=phosphorus, Si=silicon and Ge=germanium. The presented ALE growth technique and material system can be applied to silicon electronics, opto-electronic, magneto-electronics and magneto-optics devices.
Abstract: A method is provided to classify network traffic flows in real-time using spectral analysis techniques to extract regularities inside the network traffic flows. In one embodiment of the invention, subspace decomposition on power spectral density feature vectors and minimum coding length criterion are utilized for training traffic flows of different classifications. Experimental results are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the invention.
Abstract: A planar, double-gate transistor structure comprising upper and lower gate stacks that each comprises a single-phase high-K dielectric gate dielectric is disclosed. The transistor structure is particularly suitable for fully-depleted silicon-on-insulator electronics having gate-lengths less than 65 nm.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an overlay alignment measurement apparatus and method. The overlay target is periodic and is illuminated by coherent radiation; a Fourier transform lens optically computes the Fourier transform of the target. Analysis of the spatial frequencies at the Fourier plane yields overlay alignment information.
Abstract: Systems and methods for efficient processing of virtual hardware memory accesses to using runtime code patching. Virtual hardware memory accesses are processed by handling a program's OS-trapped memory exception and performing runtime patching on the program's code to bypass the OS-trapped memory exception mechanism. Program runtime patching comprises modifying function addresses in a program's function address table to redirect function calls to virtualization functions for processing virtual hardware memory accesses without triggering OS-trapped memory exceptions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of managing a network. The method steps includes extracting a signature from a first traffic flow of a plurality of traffic flows on the network based on layer-3/layer-4 information of the first traffic flow, storing the signature and an identification of a layer-7 application associated with the signature in a signature repository, identifying a second traffic flow of the plurality of traffic flows being associated with the layer-7 application by correlating the second traffic flow to the signature, and managing the network based on layer-7 application identification of the plurality of traffic flows.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for selective post-compile conversion of data protocol-specific source code elements to restore the intended functionality of the source code without requiring precompilation alteration of the latter. Byte-ordering dependent source code issues may be addressed using the current invention, possibly requiring the alteration, deletion and/or addition of one or more instructions to the post-compile output. Invention may enable portability of software programs from a first processor platform and OS to a second environment such as a second hardware and OS or a simulated, emulated or virtualized environment representing a second hardware architecture, by compiling the software program source code according to the second environment and selectively converting the data protocol specific code elements in the object/executable file, produced by the aforementioned compilation, to restore their intended functionality.
