Abstract: A system that includes a computing device configured to execute a software application and at least one remote user interface (UI) communicatively coupled to the computing device via a data communication network. The remote UI includes at least one hardware device such as a video, audio or user input/output (I/O) device. The computing device is further configured to emulate the hardware device locally and to redirect function calls generated by the software application for the emulated local hardware device to the remote UI for processing by the hardware device.
Abstract: A technique is described that reduces the complexity and resource consumption associated with performing record expiry in a distributed database system. In accordance with the technique, a record is checked to see if it has expired only when it has been accessed for a read or a write. If at the time of a read a record is determined to have expired, then it is not served. If at the time of a write a record is determined to have expired, then the write is treated as an insertion of a new record, and steps are taken to treat the insertion consistently with regard to the previous expired version. A background process is used to delete records that have not been written to or actively deleted by a client after expiration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for integrated circuit packages, such as ball grid array packages, and processes for assembling the same, are provided. A first strip includes an array of package substrate sections. An IC die is mounted to each package substrate section of the first strip. A second strip includes an array of leadframe sections. The second strip is positioned adjacent to the first strip to couple a planar protruding area of each leadframe section to a corresponding IC die mounted to the first strip. An encapsulating material is applied to the adjacently positioned first and second strips to fill a space between the first and second strips and to fill a cavity in a top surface of each leadframe section. A planar region of the first strip surrounding each centrally located cavity is not covered by the encapsulating material. The adjacently positioned first and second strips are singulated into a plurality of IC packages.
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for implementing a wireless point-to-point interface that securely and robustly delivers digital content from a generalized content source to a generalized content sink. The system, method and apparatus performs in a manner that is sufficiently secure and robust to serve as a replacement for the delivery of HDMI content over cable. The system, method and apparatus is also applicable to the delivery of other types of content traditionally delivered over cable, including but not limited to Digital Video Interface (DVI) content, composite video (CVSB) content, S-video content, RGB video content, YUV video content, and/or various types of audio content.
