  • Patent number: 7565107
Abstract: The present invention relates to a communication system, an information processing apparatus and method which enable communication setting to be performed through easy operations. An access point 11 has communication setting information for allowing wireless communication to be performed between a terminal apparatus 13 and the access point 11. The communication setting information is supplied to a tag 12 through contactless communication at close range between an IC tag reader/writer 21 and the tag (IC card) 12 and stored therein. When the tag 12 is put over an IC tag reader/writer 31 of the terminal apparatus 13, the IC tag reader/writer 31 reads the communication setting information from the tag 12 and stores it. The terminal apparatus 13 performs setting for communicating with the access point 11 based on the stored communication setting information and then performs wireless communication with the access point 11.

  • Patent number: 6969276
Abstract: A metal terminal has a terminal body having a crimp part crimped to a wire and a fastening part connected to the terminal body through breaking parts. The fastening part has a through-hole for passage of a bolt. The metal terminal further includes a co-fastening part formed in the terminal body. The tip side of the co-fastening part is fastened to a vehicle body by the bolt, together with the fastening part. When detaching the terminal body from the vehicle body, one side of the one terminal body is pulled up in a direction opposite to the fastening direction of the bolt under condition that the fastening part and the co-fastening part are together fastened by the bolt. Consequently, the co-fastening part is released from its fastened condition and a breaking force is applied on the breaking parts.

  • Patent number: 6289978
Abstract: A coiled heat exchanger and a method of making the coiled heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a pair of corrugated plates connected to one another such that the crests of their respective corrugations contact. Edges of the sheets that correspond to the faces of the cylindrical core formed from coiling the sheets are bent and connected such that a substantially continuous and flat wall is formed between the two sheets. Portions of the wall are alternately cut open, left intact, and flattened so as to form a pattern of three distinct angular sectors on the face of the core. These angular sectors respectively include cut-open sectors configured to pass a heat transfer fluid therethrough, platform sectors configured for the mounting of headers thereon, and flattened wall sectors creating gaps configured to pass a heat transfer fluid therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5425365
Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus, in which an ultrasonic image of a diagnostic region of an object having flows of blood is formed, utilizes a Doppler shift for calculating a blood flow amount. For example, first, a plurality of ultrasonic beams are trasnmitted for the diagnostic region and echo signals of the beams are received for forming the ultrasonic image and obtaining Doppler shifts. A measuring line intersecting the flows of blood is delineated on the ultrasonic image. The measuring line orthogonal with the blood flows is preferred. For example, Doppler shift frequancies of the blood flows at measuring points designated on the measuring line are inferred on the basis of the echo signals of Doppler shift already obtaind and memorized. The measuring points are imaginary points in such a case. Using the Doppler shift frequencies of the blood flows, a total amount of blood flows is calculated.

  • Patent number: 5276356
Abstract: An output circuit comprises an output transistor, a reference oscillator, a variable frequency oscillator, and a control circuit. The reference oscillator produces a first signal of a reference frequency according to the ideal ON resistance of the output transistor. The variable frequency oscillator generates a second signal capable of varying the oscillation frequency. The phase comparator compares the phase of a first signal from the reference oscillator with that of a second signal from the variable frequency oscillator and then controls the oscillation frequency of the variable frequency oscillator so that these two phases may coincide with each other. The control circuit controls the output transistor so that the current driving capability may be kept constant according to the output of the phase comparator.

  • Patent number: 4450117
Abstract: A variable venturi-type carburetor comprising a suction piston, a fuel passage, and a needle fixed onto the suction piston and extending through the fuel passage. An air bleed passage is connected to the fuel passage. During engine starting, before the engine begins to rotate by its own power, the vacuum chamber of the suction piston is open to the atmosphere and the air bleed passage is shut off. When the engine begins to rotate by its own power, the vacuum chamber of the suction piston is closed from the atmosphere. After this, the air bleed passage is gradually opened. Such control of the closing of the vacuum chamber and the opening of the air bleed passage prevents engine stall by preventing the fuel mixture from becoming excessively lean when the engine first begins to rotate on its own power and then prevents engine misfires by subsequently reducing the air-fuel ratio to a lean mixture.

  • Patent number: 4287647
Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatically forming pompons from a continuous strip of fringed web includes a pair of clamping jaws for gripping and advancing the web to a coiling station, a separable coiling spindle, and a binding tongs mechanism. When the web is moved to the coiling station, the coiling spindles are inserted into an aperture in the clamping jaws and clamp the end of the web. Thereafter, the clamping jaws are released and moved back to their initial position while the coiling spindle is rotated to coil a predetermined length of the fringed web. The binding tongs are then moved over the coiled section and draw a binding wire tightly about the periphery of the coil after the web is severed to separate the coil therefrom. The binding tongs are closed to clamp the binding wire and then are rotated to secure the wire about the coiled web. Closing of the tongs cuts the wire.
