Abstract: A portable information apparatus comprising a main body and a display unit rotatably supported by the main body. The display unit comprises a display device and a display housing made of synthetic resin. The display device has a screen. The display housing contains the display device and has first and second side portions spaced apart in a widthwise direction. A pair of support members made of metal are secured to an inner surface of the display housing. Both support members extend along the first and second side portions of the display housing, respectively, supporting the display device at the first and second side portions of the display housing.
