Abstract: A light emitting device is provided which has a structure for preventing degradation of a light emitting element due to water and oxygen contained in an interlayer insulating film formed between a TFT and the light emitting element. A TFT is formed on a substrate, an inorganic insulating film is formed on the TFT from an inorganic material and serves as a first insulating film, an organic insulating film is formed on the first insulating film from an organic material and serves as a second insulating film, and an inorganic insulating film is formed on the second insulating film from an inorganic material and serves as a third insulating film. Thus obtained is a structure for preventing the second insulating film from releasing moisture and oxygen. In order to avoid defect in forming the film, a portion of the third insulating film where a contact hole is formed is removed alone.

Abstract: One implementation provides a method for processing a first representation of a geometry of a component that is stored in a computer file. In this implementation, the method includes analyzing the first representation of the geometry of the component, and, upon analysis, generating a second, non-invertible representation of the geometry of the component from the first representation, the second representation being at least partially independent of a rotation or a translation of the component in space.

Abstract: Connection reliability in electrode portions of a semiconductor module is improved. A semiconductor wafer is prepared where a plurality of semiconductor substrates each having an electrode and a protective film at the surface is formed in a matrix shape. Next, at the surface of the semiconductor wafer (semiconductor substrate) a insulation layer is held between the semiconductor substrate and a copper sheet (metal sheet) formed integrally with a bump containing a plastic region on a tip part. With the insulating held between them, the semiconductor substrate, the insulating layer and the copper sheet are press-formed by a press machine into a single block. The bump penetrates the insulating layer, and the plastic region on the tip part is plastic deformed at a contact surface with an electrode, so that the bump and the electrode are electrically connected together.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method forming conductive templates that includes providing a substrate; forming a mesa on the substrate; and forming a plurality of recessions and projections on the mesa with a nadir of the recessions comprising electrically conductive material and the projections comprising electrically insulative material. It is desired that the mesa be substantially transparent to a predetermined wavelength of radiation, for example ultraviolet radiation. As a result, it is desired to form the electrically conductive material from a material that allows ultraviolet radiation to propagate therethrough. In the present invention indium tin oxide is a suitable material from which to form the electrical conductive material.

Abstract: A vaporizer generates vapor by vaporizing a liquid. In particular, a vaporizer generates fuel vapor that is used for reforming fuel by vaporizing a liquid fuel that contains a hydrocarbon. This vaporizer includes a heating gas direct movement flow path along which a heating gas flows by moving directly in a horizontal direction; vaporization flow paths that are positioned such that they can exchange heat with the heating gas direct movement flow path, and that vaporizes liquid fuel; a fuel supply pipe that supplies the liquid fuel to the vaporization flow paths; and a vapor flow path that is positioned in an upstream portion on the heating gas direct movement flow path from the vaporization flow paths and that heat fuel vapor that is discharged from the vaporization flow paths.
Abstract: Communication applications may include lists of users with which a user of the application communicates. If two users of a communications application each include the other user on their user lists, an implicit trust may be established between the users. For example, if user A includes user B in her list and user B includes user A in his list, then it may be determined that each user knows and/or trusts the other user. As a result, a connection or communications pathway may be automatically created between the client devices of the users to facilitate communications between the users based on the implicit trust.

Abstract: A lift mechanism for a cleaning device of a dry shaving apparatus includes a base plate with guides and a chassis plate mounting the chassis and arranged for displacement relative to the base plate. Coiled-strip springs arranged on the guides spring-load the chassis plate against the base plate. On actuation of the lift mechanism the coiled-strip springs are untensioned by coiling up along the guides, thereby lifting the chassis plate. The coiled-strip springs reduce the load on the construction and ensure an almost noiseless lift mechanism.
