    Abstract: A device and method are described for stripping the outer jacket from the inner core of an electrical cable or the like. The device comprises means for generating a high-pressure jet of fluid, means for directing the jet along the length of the electric cable thereby cutting a score mark along the length of the outer jacket, and means for separating the inner core from the outer jacket along the score mark.
