Abstract: There is provided a packaged roast and ground coffee product comprising a lightweight, thin-walled reclosable container made of laminated plastic material comprising a moisture barrier and an oxygen barrier, and a quantity of roast and ground coffee disposed within the container. The container comprises a finish that includes a top surface and one or more snap beads positioned below the top surface. A plurality of snap bead segments may be circumferentially spaced from one another. A sealing member may be sealed to the top surface. The sealing member may include a one-way valve permitting venting of CO2 resulting from off-gassing of the roast and ground coffee while preventing ingress of air. A removable overcap comprising a top wall and a depending skirt may be affixed to the finish.

Abstract: Lipid compositions comprising specific mixtures of edible synthetic triglycerides are provided that are useful in formulating food products having highly desirable dietary benefits. The novel lipid compositions allow simultaneous access to highly desirable dietary benefits such as delivery of calorie reduction, weight management, health benefits, or any combination thereof, and they also may be formulated trans-fatty acid free.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided to automatically determine plant water requirements and adjust irrigation in order to make efficient use of water. In one implementation, an irrigation control unit comprises at least one input adapted to be coupled to and receive signals from a rainfall sensor and a temperature sensor, the signals corresponding to current values of an amount of rainfall and temperature. The unit also includes a memory storing historical values of a plurality of variables and a processor coupled to the at least one input and the memory. The processor is adapted to determine plant water requirements at least in part using the historical values of the plurality of variables and the current values of the temperature and the amount of rainfall.
Abstract: A sensor network having a first command center and a first access node, comprising a wireless transceiver, coupled to the command center. Abstract: This invention relates to a supported nonmetallocene catalyst for olefin polymerization, which is produced by directly reacting a nonmetallocene ligand with a catalytically active metallic compound on a carrier through an in-situ supporting process. The process according to this invention is simple and feasible, and it is easy to adjust the load of the nonmetallocene ligand on the porous carrier. The supported nonmetallocene catalyst according to this invention can be used for olefin homopolymerization/copolymerization, even in combination with a comparatively less amount of the co-catalyst, to achieve a comparatively high polymerization activity. Further, the polymer product obtained therewith boasts desirable polymer morphology and a high bulk density.
Abstract: A rolling code transmitter is useful in a security system for providing secure encrypted RF transmission comprising an interleaved trinary bit fixed code and rolling code. A receiver demodulates the encrypted RF transmission and recovers the fixed code and rolling code. Upon comparison of the fixed and rolling codes with stored codes and determining that the signal has emanated from an authorized transmitter, a signal is generated to actuate an electric motor to open or close a movable barrier.

Abstract: A system and method for harvested water irrigation is provided. The irrigation system generally collects harvested water from a variety of sources and disperses it from a tank to a landscape for irrigation. The irrigation may be managed using a system controller. The grip, handle, or graspable surface further includes recesses integrated within the grip or handle for accommodating the hook-and-loop fastener material. The invention also involves a retrofit tape kit for facilitating gripping of any graspable surface.
