Abstract: An irrigation sprinkler is provided having a housing and a riser assembly for the distribution of irrigation water that includes a wiper seal to prevent bypass flow. The sprinkler includes a first flow path that delivers water to a nozzle for irrigation and a second flow path that delivers water to a cavity between the riser assembly and the housing. The water in the cavity is substantially prevented from exiting the cavity because of an annular wiper blade and a secondary sealing blade that substantially contact the riser assembly through the riser assembly's reciprocal movement between retracted and elevated positions. The water in the cavity is additionally prevented from exiting the cavity due to a primary sealing blade that substantially contacts the riser assembly for a limited period of time when the riser assembly is in the elevated position.

Abstract: Wireless handheld mobile communication device and keyboard therefore having a keyfield including a plurality of depressible keys arranged in rows that are distributed about a vertical centerline (Vc) of the keyboard. Each of the depressible keys has a top engagement surface of which an upper inboard portion is raised relative a lower outboard portion thereof. The top engagement surface of each of the depressible keys is ramped from the lower outboard portion toward the upper inboard portion. Each top engagement surface is generally crest shaped, with the apex of the crest running generally diagonally across the respective key with the rest of the top engagement surface falling away from the crest toward the upper outboard portion and the lower inboard portion of the key. The top engagement surface of each of the depressible keys terminates at an upper edge thereof in an elevated ridge down from which the balance of the respective top engagement surface slopes.

Abstract: An implant retention device is provided to assist in restraining movement of a nuclear implant and to assist in preventing expulsion of the nuclear implant through an incision portal or defect in the annular wall. In general, the implant retention device blocks or obstructs at least a portion of an opening in the annular wall, thereby keeping the implant from exiting the nuclear space through the annular opening. In one form, the implant retention device comprises an expulsion prevention member positioned adjacent the nuclear implant and configured to transition between a compressed position and an expanded position. In another form, the implant retention device may comprise a mounting portion to be positioned adjacent one of the vertebral bodies, a blocking portion for at least partially obstructing the annular opening, and an end projection at a terminal end of the blocking portion to resist expulsion of the implant through the annular opening.

Abstract: A crochet galloon machine needle (26) in accordance with the invention is provided on its hook outside (39) with a guide projection (40) having a tip (43) that is preferably located above the center axis (A) of the needle (26). This needle (26) has an enlarged weft thread capture range and is thus particularly suitable for the manufacture of dense knitted goods. In addition, said needle enables the operation with reduced take-off tension and, optionally, also with reduced weft thread tension. This helps increase the service life of all system components.

Abstract: A method for use in providing video to a user includes establishing digital video data that includes images shot in relation to a making of content, uploading the digital video data to a server, and sending the digital video data from the server through a network to a client device for viewing by the user. The client device may be configured to allow the user to mark one or more portions of the digital video data for review or deletion. A system for use in providing video to a user is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for variable engine compartment ventilation in a slim and compact unit with components used in non-related industries. The system can have at least one bank of movable louvers rotatably mounted within a louver frame for guiding a flow of air into a vehicle engine compartment; a motor to rotate the louvers with a motor gear formed on an output shaft rotatably connected in parallel to at least one helix cable by a helix cable drive gear and a louver pinion gear integral with each louver engaging the helix cable along its length; and a control unit for operating the assembly of movable louvers in response to an output signal from a vehicle communication bus. The output signal of the vehicle communication bus can be in response to input from an engine coolant temperature sensor or a vehicle speed sensor.

In one embodiment, a food package includes a rectangular substantially planar rigid bottom wall; two slanted side/side walls extending angularly upwardly from the bottom wall, and a rectangular opening opposite the bottom wall, the opening larger in area than the rectangular rigid bottom wall. A top side wall and a bottom side wall extend upwardly from the bottom wall; and a flexible film extends over the opening and seals the opening. The side walls are configured to engage and hold the food product, each side wall being angularly ramped and extending downward and inward toward the bottom wall, and having at least one well which extends downwardly from the angularly upward extending side wall.

Abstract: A carbonate spring producing system includes a gas-liquid separator which is connected on the downstream side of a carbonic acid gas dissolver which connects to a carbonic acid gas supply means and hot water supply. A liquid lead-out pipe is connected to the gas-liquid separator. Preferably an un-dissolved carbonic acid gas lead-out pipe is connected on the upstream sides of the gas-liquid separator and the carbonic acid gas dissolver. The un-dissolved carbonic acid gas lead-out pipe includes a control valve, a compressor, and a liquid level detection means. The control valve controls a flow rate of un-dissolved carbonic acid gas from the gas-liquid separator. An amount of un-dissolved carbonic acid gas in the gas-liquid separator is monitored, so that the un-dissolved carbonic acid gas in the hot water can be separated and removed by the gas-liquid separator. The separated and removed un-dissolved carbonic acid gas can be re-dissolved.

Abstract: A system for storage and methods for search and retrieval of information presentable as a plurality of tree-structured information objects of an arbitrary application domain are disclosed. The system comprises a distributed computer system consisting of computing devices, interconnected with each other by physical communication lines, and a connected logical storage network, every node of which is an active unit of storage (AUS), incorporating an information object, a program agent and a list of links of said AUS to a plurality of other AUS on the network, wherein the links form connections among the nodes of the logical storage network. Links of an AUS pointing at a plurality of other AUS are created based on a metric calculated taking into account the intrinsic structure of stored and retrieved information objects, and enabling determination and use of the degree of relevance between search information attributes and respective attributes of a search query.
