Abstract: A lead screw piezo nut positioning device includes coupling and driven members and a piezo nut positioner assembly. The coupling member is secured to an external machine part and received about a lead screw such that the lead screw does not directly drivingly engage and cause movement of the coupling member nor of the external machine part. The driven member is threadably coupled about the lead screw for undergoing coarse movement along the lead screw in response to its rotation. The piezo nut positioner assembly is disposed between the coupling and driven members and received over the lead screw such that the assembly is not directly drivingly engaged nor moved by the lead screw.

Abstract: An outdoor cooking stove assembly includes a burner tube, a plurality of support legs and a fuel supply pipe. The burner tube is adapted to receive fuel from the fuel supply pipe through an open lower end portion of the burner tube. The fuel is ignitable within a combustion chamber of the burner tube such that a sustained flame projects upwardly through the burner tube and out from an upper end portion thereof. One support leg is fixedly mounted to the burner tube while the other support legs are pivotally mounted thereto. Each pivotally mounted support leg is pivotally movable relative to the burner tube and fixedly mounted support leg between first and second angularly-spaced positions. Each pivotally mounted support leg in the first position is disposed adjacent and in a generally parallel relationship to the fixedly mounted support leg such that the assembly is in a collapsed condition for storage and transport of the assembly.

Abstract: A multiple hair setting roller heating and facial steaming apparatus includes a housing, an enclosure, a heating module, a heating element, at least one outlet and a hood. The housing defines a receptacle for receiving and holding a quantity of a desired liquid and defines a platform. The enclosure has an open bottom and defines an interior chamber. The enclosure is mounted to and extends downwardly from the platform of the housing and into the receptacle of the housing below the surface of the quantity of liquid in the receptacle such that air is captured in the interior chamber of the enclosure. The heating module is mounted to the platform of the housing and extends downwardly therefrom within the interior chamber of the enclosure. The heating module has a passage and an inlet extending below the open bottom of the enclosure so as to provide direct flow communication of liquid from the receptacle of the housing to the passage of the heating module bypassing the interior chamber of the enclosure.

Abstract: A deep well rack assembly for pipette tips and the like includes an enclosure having a plurality of openings in a top wall thereof, a plurality of wells in the enclosure extending below the top wall and openings for receiving and retaining pipette tips, and a cover for overlying the top wall of the enclosure and the wells and pipette tips. The top wall of the enclosure either has a plurality of annular depressions formed therein and surrounding the openings or a plurality of raised annular rings formed thereon and surrounding the openings. The wells are disposed within an interior cavity of the enclosure. Each well has a continuous side wall attached at an open top end to the top wall and surrounding one of the openings therein. Each well is adapated to receive a pipette tip such that the pipette tip is disposable within the well and the respective annular depression or raised annular ring of the top wall of the enclosure.

Abstract: This invention relates to a power production plant (10) and method. The power production plant includes a chimney (12), a conduit (18) in the chimney, the conduit having an inlet and an outlet, and a solar energy collector (30) having an outlet connected to the chimney characterised by the solar collector output being connected to the inlet of the conduit, by a rotor (50) in the said outlet, and by the conduit being offset from the central axis (A) of the chimney. The provision of a conduit in the chimney allows the plant to be constructed in stages, and to permit power output before full completion of the plant.

The ball feeding guide defines a path open at and extending between first and second ends for receiving balls at the first end, guiding the balls in a single file arrangement along the path with the balls being movable by the force of gravity through the path and feeding the balls from the second end. Abstract: A compound water meter includes a housing having opposite inlet and outlet ends, a water guidance channel extending between the inlet and outlet ends and defining a direction of flow therebetween and upper opening disposed above and in communication with the water guidance channel, a main meter measuring inset disposed in the housing across the water guidance channel, a switch-over valve inset disposed in the housing across the water guidance channel and connected watertight with the main meter measuring inset, and an impeller rotatably supported directly by and between the respective insets such that the main meter measuring inset is disposed upstream and the switch-over valve inset downstream of the rotatable impeller relative to the direction of flow. Both insets form an inset unit and with the impeller are suspended in the housing by a cover which closes the upper opening of the housing. The main meter measuring inset has a hub rotatably supporting the impeller.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydraulic platform lift, in particular a motorcycle platform lift, comprising a parallelogram chassis in which on one of the two parallel lifting arms a hydraulic cylinder, supported on the sub-frame, is articulated. The task of the invention is providing such a platform lift which has a substantially better intrinsic weight/lifting-force ratio than the comparable platform lifts known from prior art.

The straw bales are stacked. The column includes concrete and a reinforcement rod. The concrete fills aligned vertical channels of the straw bales. The reinforcement rod is disposed in the channels and embedded by the concrete. The fabric of a substantially air-permeable material is attached to the stacked straw bales and disposed on vertical sides of the straw bales forming exterior and interior surfaces of the building employing the wall assembly. Each screen overlies and caps a top end of one of the straw bales and intersects the channels and defines an opening aligned with the channels and allows passage of the reinforcement rod.
