Abstract: The proximal actuator is operable with various medical devices which have one tube or wire axially movable with respect to another tube or wire (e.g., a guide wire operable within an actuation sleeve). The actuator includes a deployment handle which is transversely or laterally (not axially) removably attachable. The actuator includes first retaining device (e.g., spring clip grip) removably attachable to the actuation sleeve and second retaining device removably attachable to the wire member. The second retainer moves relative to the first retainer such that the sleeve slides over the wire thereby moving a medical device at the distal end of the system. The handle may have a grip and a sleeve defining an aperture and a sliding member in the sleeve. The slide member is rotatably mounted to one retainer and is threadably mounted to the other retainer such that upon rotation, one moves with respect to the other.
Abstract: The automated fault diagnostic system operates on engine-compressor sets with one vibration sensor per sub-group of engine cylinders and one sensor per compressor cylinder. Vibration signals linked to crankshaft phase angle windows (“VT”) mark various engine events and compressor events. In data-acquisition-learning mode, VT is stored for each engine and compressor event per operating load condition, statistical process control (SPC) theory identifies alarm threshold bands. Operator input-overrides are permitted. If no baseline data is stored, the system automatically enters the learn mode. To monitor, current VT are obtained and current load condition is matched to the earlier load set and alarms issue linking predetermined engine or compressor event to the over-under VT. Baseline data, SPC analysis, alarms and monitoring are set for crankcase flow, engine cylinder exhaust temperatures, ignition system diagnostic messages. Compressor performance alarms use suction and discharge temperatures and pressures.

Abstract: A data security having parsing and dispersion aspects enables the user to parse, disperse and reconstruct the original, plain text data or data object, thereby enabling secure storage of the data. The original data may be maintained in its original state, encrypted or it may be destroyed. For example, financial data maintained by an institute, stored as is customary, be parsed with an algorithm, the parsed segments dispersed off-site (that is, separated and stored in extract and remainder stores or computer memories) and away from the financial institute, and, upon appropriate security clearance, the dispersed data can be reconstructed to duplicate the data. Large distribution of parsed data is contemplated by the system. The original data remains stable, operable and immediately useful in its customary storage location (or alternatively destroyed). The secured dispersed data is a back-up of the original data.
Abstract: The computerized bidding method matches hospitality facility data and meeting requirement data, permits the posting of offers and responsive bidding by both hospitality facility vendors and meeting planners, and facilitates the exchange of data and enables an auction between multiple parties. The hospitality facility data represents vendors for hotel facilities, meeting room facilities or other hospitality facilities. Meeting requirement data represents the necessities of a plurality of meeting planners for a corresponding plurality of meetings or events. The system and the method stores data in a database. Meeting planner offers (meeting requirement data) are posted to the database. The system matches the meeting requirement data with previously stored hospitality facility data Meeting requirement data (offers) is typically truncated or blinded to all parties except the posting party. The blinded offer is sent to hospitality vendors which match the meeting requirements.
Abstract: The accessory drive unit, mounted intermediate an engine and a transmission, provides mounts for a water pump, an alternator, a supercharger and a starter. The accessory drive unit includes a main planetary gear driving a supplemental gear which is rotatably interconnected to a bevel gear driving a supercharger shaft. A first pilot gear is rotatably coupled to the main gear and is coaxially mounted to a second pilot gear. A water pump gear is rotatably coupled to the second pilot gear. An alternator gear is rotatably coupled to the first pilot gear. A flywheel is mounted on the engine drive shaft and has a peripheral gear thereon. The starter has a geared drive shaft which is adapted to rotatably interlink with the peripheral gear on the flywheel.
Abstract: The method, used with a portable computing device, secures security sensitive words, icons, etc. by determining device location within or without a predetermined region and then extracting the security data from the file, text, data object or whatever. The extracted data is separated from the remainder data and stored either on media in a local drive or remotely, typically via wireless network, to a remote store. Encryption is used to further enhance security levels. Extraction may be automatic, when the portable device is beyond a predetermined territory, or triggered by an event, such a “save document” or a time-out routine. Reconstruction of the data is permitted only in the presence of a predetermined security clearance and within certain geographic territories. A computer readable medium containing programming instructions carrying out the methodology for securing data is also described herein. An information processing system for securing data is also described.
