Abstract: The techniques provide a system and a method of producing polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) polymer. The PPS polymer is produced by reacting a sulfur source and a dihaloaromatic compound in the presence of a polar organic compound in a polymerization mixture in a polymerization vessel. The PPS polymer is washed with a base to lower the oligomer content of the PPS polymer and thus the off-gassing during processing.
Abstract: A power management system, in certain aspects, may utilize direct load sensing feedback from the prime mover (e.g., engine), thereby reducing the possibility of overloading the prime mover. The use of direct load sense feedback from the prime mover can then be used with additional feedback, such as prime mover RPM feedback and individual output load sensing feedback, to directly control the output loads and set the primary power sources rpm set-point to better manage the power available and reduce the possibility of overloading the primary power source.
Abstract: Systems and methods relating to a boosting rectifier and feeder motor drive circuit are provided. The circuit may be used to produce a regulated DC supply voltage from a variable input AC line voltage, chop the DC supply voltage and deliver a pulse width modulated motor voltage to a wire feed motor in the wire drive assembly. One embodiment relates to elimination of undesirable wire feeder inconsistencies due to motor loading conditions, distance between the primary power source and the wire feeder, and so forth. In certain embodiments, the circuit may contain power factor correction circuitry, which may reduce the size of circuit components due to increased efficiency. Current paths through the circuit during the positive and negative half cycles of the AC input voltage are provided. Exemplary controller logic that may be used to control the operation of the boosting rectifier and feeder motor drive circuit is provided.

The spray-gun line-connecting device may provide a plurality of cylindrical connection joints at an interface between mating surfaces. For example, the lines may include enlarged cylindrical heads, which fit within cylindrical receptacles in a first mating surface. A second mating surface may extend over the first mating surface, and include passages aligned with the lines.
Abstract: A motor drive is provided that includes a control circuit or board and a one or more functional circuits or option boards coupled to the control board, and a profile that includes a configuration for the option board. A method of operating a motor drive that includes loading a profile for a option board coupled to a control board of the controller, wherein the profile comprises a configuration for the option board. A tangible machine-readable medium implementing the method is also provided.

Abstract: A method and a system are disclosed for operating an X-ray imaging subsystem with an X-ray imaging detector. Each subsystem may be one of many that could operate with one another to create X-ray images. An association is established between the imaging subsystem and the imaging detector, and a user-perceptible indication of the association is generated. The user may be prompted to confirm the association. Thereafter, the two subsystems may be used together for X-ray imaging. An X-ray source of the imaging subsystem may be disabled until the association is established or until the confirmation is received.
