Abstract: A glass run attached to a doorframe of a vehicle. The glass run comprises a molded part attached to a corner part of the doorframe, and a fin, formed integrally with the molded part, and covering the corner part of the doorframe. The fin includes a hook and lip that protrude from a back of a rim of the fin. The lip provides the rim of the fin with increased rigidity and prevents the rim of the fin from turning up and opening.
Abstract: A bookbinding device includes a plurality of annular binders corresponding to binding holes. A part of an annular binder is inserted into a binding hole to be engaged, and by virtue of the insertion of the annular binder into the corresponding binding hole, the sheet bundle is bound to be provided as a booklet. Respective ends of binding members engage with each other, whereby the binding members are unified. The binding members are disposed so as to be aligned and constitute respectively binding member units which can be separated one by one. The pairs of the binding members are located in sequence so as to correspond to the binding holes to be pushed and moved and, thus, to be inserted through the binding holes. The respective ends of the binding members then engage with each other, whereby the binding members are unified.
Abstract: The invention relates to a piece of furniture containing a furniture base part (13a-13f), in particular a furniture frame, and a furniture part (11) movable relative thereto, in particular a table top (12), with an adjusting gear (20a-20f) for driving the furniture part (11) and with an actuating mechanism (30a-30f) for the rotary actuation of a drive shaft (36a-36f) of the adjusting gear (20a-20f). In the piece of furniture (10a-10f), it is provided that the actuating mechanism (30a-30f) for the rotary actuation of the adjusting gear (20a-20f) contains a manually operated cable- or belt-type pulling element (31a-31f) which is wrapped around a wrapping section (51a-51f) coupled for rotation with the drive shaft (36a-36f) at least during an actuation of the actuating mechanism (30a-30f) and which, when pulled, causes the drive shaft (36a-36f) to rotate.
Abstract: An oscillation-echo preventing circuit has a microphone/speaker unit and a voltage-canceling circuit for canceling voltages of audio receive signals. The microphone/speaker unit has a main body, at least two microphones, and a speaker or an earphone. The microphone seals a first inside space from an outside space. The microphone seals the first inside space from a second inside space. The speaker or the earphone seals the first inside space from the outside space. The voltage-canceling circuit cancels out the voltages of audio receive signals coming from the microphones, respectively, generating an output of minimum magnitude. Thus, the circuit can sufficiently suppress oscillation and echoing.

Abstract: A process for inhibiting polymerization of an aromatic vinyl compound during the stage of producing, purifying, storing or transporting the aromatic vinyl compound which not only inhibits an initial polymerization but also inhibits polymerization efficiently over a long period of time and which is excellent in the handleability. The process involves the step of adding a nitrogenous aromatic compound in combination with a sulfonic acid compound to the aromatic vinyl compound during the production, purification, storage of transportation thereof.
Abstract: A substrate having, on a base material, a barrier film for preventing copper diffusion containing one or more metal elements selected from tungsten, molybdenum and niobium, a metal element having a catalytic function in electroless plating such as ruthenium, rhodium, and iridium, and nitrogen contained in the form of a nitride of the aforementioned one or more metal elements selected from tungsten, molybdenum and niobium. The barrier film for preventing copper diffusion is manufactured by sputtering in a nitrogen atmosphere using a target containing one or more metal elements selected from tungsten, molybdenum and niobium and the aforementioned metal element having a catalytic function in electroless plating.
Abstract: The present invention provides a process of coproducing methanol and ammonia by using natural gas, LPG, butane, or naphtha as a raw material, having a methanol production process (A) composed of specific steps and an ammonia production process (B) also composed of specific steps.
Abstract: A device for the application of adhesive and machine and method for manufacturing paper cups. The device applies adhesive, particularly for the manufacture of a paper cup from at least one paper segment, and includes a stamp for the application of the adhesive. The stamp is made of a compression-resistant porous sintered material.

Abstract: An office chair is provided with includes a chair arm assembly on each opposite side thereof for supporting the arms of a user. The arm assemblies each include a latching assembly to permit adjustment of the height of an arm cap thereof while maintaining the arm cap at a selected elevation. The latch assembly is engageable with an inner liner provided within a support post. Further, the armrest assembly has a plurality of interconnected and relatively movable plates which permit adjustment of the angular orientation of the arm cap along with adjustment of the arm cap in the front-to-back direction and the side-to-side direction.

Abstract: In a handle arrangement, in particular an aid to help persons rise, for example in the bathroom area, having a gripping rod (12), on which at least one suction head (14) with a suction plate (15) or a suction piston (50) and an actuating device (17) for the suction plate (15), or respectively suction piston (50), are arranged on at least one handle end (13a, 13b), or between both handle ends (13a, 13b), so that the at least one suction head (14) can be attached by suction to a porous surface by activating the actuating device (17) for forming a vacuum acting between the porous surface and the suction plate (15), or respectively the suction piston (50), and can be released therefrom by releasing the vacuum, a vacuum loss indicator device (22) is provided, which reacts to the reduction of the vacuum.
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling memory access in a multithreaded processor supporting a plurality of threads is provided. The apparatus includes a processor core; a cache memory storing data accessible by each of the plurality of threads; a main memory storing data accessible by a plurality of threads; an incoherency detection module; and a memory arbiter. The incoherency detection module is connected between the processor core and the memory arbiter, and the memory arbiter is connected between the incoherency detection module and the main memory. There is a separate request queue for each thread for read and write requests sent from the cache memory to the memory arbiter. The incoherency detection module stores an indication of a memory address for each write request sent from the cache memory to the main memory in a write address memory, and compares the address of each subsequent read request sent from the cache memory with indications in the write address memory.
Abstract: Sensing arrangements for a handpiece sense suction pressure or fluid flow within a suction path to determine the position of a movable cutting element relative to a fixed cutting element of a cutting accessory. A controller calculates actual speed of the movable cutting element from measured pressure or measured fluid flow. The cutting elements have openings that, when aligned, form a window. The controller controls power to a motor that drives the cutting element. When the handpiece is deactivated, the controller stops the movable cutting element at a predetermined position to close or partially close the window. The controller controls the cutting speed in view of joint pressure combined with suction pressure, or in view of fluid flow through the suction path, to maintain an optimal fluid flow rate that enhances the cutting action of the cutting accessory. Pressure or flow sensors may detect a clog in the suction path.
